PRESENT TIME
JUNIOR YEAR
LIBERTY HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM
TAPE 5, SIDE B
IMOGEN'S POV

Justin and I were hooking up in the auditorium.

Well, trying to. He was acting all paranoid that we were going to get caught by the drama class that meets in here first period because there's always a light that's on in the middle of the stage. So now, we were looking for a way to turn the light off, because I told him, we can't get caught if they don't see us.

"Here's the switch." I said, picking up a can of, something, I don't know what they were, and I threw one at the light, but I missed.

"Immy, what the fuck?" Justin asked.

"What? I found a switch, let's see who can break it first." I said, throwing another one, and missing once again and Justin started to walk over to me.

"Like, break the light bulb? What are you, six?" He asked.

"It's just a stupid light bulb." I said, throwing another, nail. I think it might've been nails that I was throwing to try and break it.

"What the fuck is wrong with you? Is this about Jeff? I know it's only been a few wee. .-" I cut him off and pointed in his face.

". .-It has nothing to do with him." I snapped, and then I rolled my eyes. "When did you become such a fucking pussy?" I asked him, while throwing another nail.

"Hey! Hey, why are you acting so crazy?" He asked.

"Why aren't you?" I asked back, throwing a nail at him.

"Imogen, cut it the fuck out." He snapped. I walked up to him and threw another one into his chest.

"Throw it back." I said.

"Imogen, stop." He said, raising his voice a little.

"Throw it back." I snapped again, throwing another one.

"Imogen, what the hell? What is happening with you?" He asked, raising his voice a little louder, and now he was starting to piss me off.

"Nothing. Nothing's happening, right?" I snapped, throwing another one at him, and Justin shook his head.

"Fuck this. I'm out." He said grabbing his book bag and walking off the stage, and I rolled my eyes. I was really annoyed and just wanted some relief, was that too much to ask.

"Bye." I snapped at him, and he held up a peace sign as he walked out, and out of frustration, I threw the tin can of nails I was holding and then I pushed the light down and the bulb popped and I was surrounded by darkness.

"Shit."

BRYCE'S CAR

Bryce jumped when I knocked on his passenger side window, and when he saw me, he let out a breath of relief. "Fuck, Imogen!" He said, and I laughed while pointing to the lock on the door and he nodded his head and unlocked it for me, before I opened up the car door and got inside.

"You can't sneak up on a guy like that." He said.

"I didn't know that guy was a dealer." I said, referring to the guy who left his car when I walked up.

"Yeah, as a sideline. My usual guy does house calls, but I gave my last bag to Marcus yesterday." He said, and I was wondering why he did that, but I didn't care. With the day I was having. I needed to be under the influence of something, and I knew Bryce would have everything that I needed to forget about all this pain I'm in. Listening to Sheri's tape, remembering that Jeff only died a few weeks ago.
