PRESENT TIME
JUNIOR YEAR
CLAY JENSEN'S BEDROOM
THIRD PERSON'S POV

After breakfast with his mother and sister. Clay Jensen told Imogen to take the car to school, and that he would walk later. When questioned, he couldn't tell her why. He made up the excuse that, he still had some things he needed to do, so Imogen decided to leave the car and ask Monty for a ride. She didn't know what Clay was up to and she didn't care. She just wanted to get out of the house.

What Clay was up to, was finding a way to detox Justin. When he was washing his clothes, he found his things and looked them up, finding it was black tar heroin. Of course the first thing he did was call Tony, and when Tony said he thinks Justin might be an addict, he sent Sheri over for the detox, but didn't tell Clay that she was coming.

After listening to the tapes and finding out the exact story of what happened to Jeff. The Jensen twins haven't talked to Sheri and had no desire to. That's why Tony didn't tell Clay that Sheri was coming, because he knew she's the last person that Clay wants to see, but he couldn't get involved now that he knew heroin was in the mix.

He couldn't violate his probation.

Sheri came through Clay's window again much to his surprise. "What the fuck? What are you doing here?" Clay asked when she came through.

"Tony told me to wait until your mom and Imogen left, then come through the window. Did I mess it up?" She asked, she thought Clay knew she was going to be the one coming instead of Tony.

"Uh, no, the window's right, but why did he send you?" Clay asked.

"Well, he thought I could help." Sheri responded.

"Help with what?" Justin asked as he was stuffing his face with the leftover breakfast Clay brought upstairs for him. Sheri looked down at Justin while taking her bookbag off her back.

"I've got some supplies. . how are you feeling?" She asked him.

"Fine. Supplies for what?" Justin asked.

"When is Tony getting here?" Clay asked.

"He's not coming, Clay. He's still on probation. He can't risk getting involved now that he knows about Justin." Sheri said, which made Justin looked up at the pair again.

"What about me?" He asked.

Clay let out a deep sigh as he looked at Justin. "Alright, so the thing is, I was washing your clothes, and I found your shit and I flushed it down the toilet. Tony thinks you might be an addict and we might have to detox you." Clay explained.

Shaking his head, Justin quickly stood up from Clay's desk chair, shaking the blanket off of him. "Fuck this. I'm out of here." He said.

"Well, 'A,' all of your fucking clothes are in the wash, and 'B,' where are you gonna go?" Clay said to him. Sheri knelt down to the ground, taking a bottle of gatorade out of her bookbag.

"We're going to get you through this." Sheri said.

"Look, Justin, you want to help Imogen, right? Well, you can't testify if you're high." Clay said. Justin, ignoring him, picked up his jacket and his duffelbag.

"Okay?" Sheri said to him, thinking that he was listening.

"Justin. Justin." Clay said. Justin sat down on Clay's bed, grabbing his shoes from under them when Clay asked the question that made him stop. "Jesus. . what happened to you?" Justin sat quietly on the bed, looking down at the ground to avoid Clay's stare.
