PRESENT TIME
POLICE STATION
THIRD PERSON'S POV

Imogen Jensen sat in the visitation room of the Evergreen County jail to wait for Monty. Now that he had been arrested, she wasn't putting a target on Tyler's back by confronting the situation. She wanted to know exactly why he had done what he did. Monty looked surprised to see her as the officer walked him over to the table where she was at.

"Five minutes." The officer said before walking away.

"What are you dong here?" Monty asked her.

"Sit down, Monty. I'm not here to fight with you." Imogen said to him. Monty slowly sat down across from her, and she folded her arms over her chest. "Why did you do it, Mont? And I don't want a bullshit answer either." Imogen said.

"I don't know what you want me to say." Monty said.

"I want to know why you did it." She said.

"I was messing with him, Imogen. We were pissed about the field." Monty said, shrugging his shoulders, and Imogen rolled her eyes.

"Monty, you shoved a broom stick up Tyler's ass until he bled and you penetrated him with it. That's not 'messing with him' that's sexual assault and you know that. You know you're going to prison, right? Do you know what they do to inmates in there for sexual crimes?" Imogen asked.

"What do they do? Describe it." Monty said, and Imogen rolled her eyes.

"How did I not see how sick you were? Monty, other inmates hate inmates that are in there for sexual crimes. Rape, molestation, but especially if you're a pedophile, and you committed sexual crimes against children. They're going to beat you, and it's going to be worse than anything you ever endured from your father." Imogen said.

"Yeah? Well at least they won't be him." Monty said, and Imogen sighed.

"Did you do it because it got you off? Goodness, Monty do you like guys and not know how to express it?" Imogen asked, and Monty scoffed, and rolled his eyes, but didn't say anything. "I'm just trying to understand how you could do something like that to someone." She said.

"Maybe it's not meant for you to understand. You shouldn't have wasted your time coming down here." He said.

"Maybe I shouldn't have. But we were friends for a long time, Mont. . and I really love you. I just hate to see that this is how your life ended up. You could've been so much better." Imogen said, standing up from the table.

"Imogen. . wait." Monty said, and Imogen turned around to look at him.

"What?" She asked.

"What if. . what if I was?" She asked, and Imogen knew what he was referring to.

"It wouldn't have changed the fact that I would've always been there for you, and I would always love you. But you crossed a line when you assaulted Tyler. . and that's something you can never come back from. Not even with me. Try to take care of yourself, Monty." Imogen said.

"Imogen, I love you too. I'm just sorry I lost you." Monty said and Imogen nodded her head.

"Yeah? Me too." She said before leaving the visitation room, but the young brunette had no idea.

That would be her last conversation with Monty.

OUT-HOUSE
IMOGEN'S POV

"You got one on me, Jensen. I've never had one of those." Justin said to Clay as he was strapping on a brace around his ankle, and Clay didn't look up as he continued to adjust it.
