Adri and The mysterious tall musician

*Adri's POV*

I encouraged her to go talk to him. Simple. I didn't want her to leave regretting the fact that she didn't talk to him so I did what any best friend could do. Tell her to go for it. She walked away swiftly as I stood there awkwardly. Suddenly I found myself gazing at a tall brunette. He didn't notice that I was staring at him intensely until he looked up from his iPhone and our eyes met. He was gorgeous. His eyes were similar to that of the boy that Dani went an talked to but his eyes had a certain twinkle in them that I had never seen before. Without even realizing it my body drove me towards him. It was as if my heart was the control system because my mind had let go of the wheel. He took a few steps towards me and we met halfway.

I struggled to find the right words to say but came up with a simple but stuttered 'Hi'.

He smirked and the words came out of his mouth smoothly, "hey, I'm Braiden."

"I'm Adri..." he shook my hand and there was a silence, not an awkward one, but a comfortable silence when two people can just look into each others eyes and feel the warmth in each others soles.

"beautiful name" there was a certain tone of mystery in his voice and it made me want to hear more of what he had to say.

"umm...thanks." the only thing I could muster up was that. It was conversational suicide and I felt my knees growing weaker and weaker by the second. Yet he saved the conversation and started asking me questions like where I was from and how old I am. I gave him one word answers because I was unsure whether to ask him the same questions or not.

He offered his answers to the questions anyways and it saved me the embarrassment of saying "how bout you" after everything I said.

I wish I had kept my composure the way he did. He was talking to me as if we had met briefly before but were getting to know one another more in depth.

I soon found out that he was in a band: Before You Exit. He plays guitar and he told me that the boy Dani was talking to, Connor, was also In the band. Funny how things work out, huh? I knew I had a thing for musicians and Braiden confirmed that. Then told me that he enjoyed magic tricks and showed me a cool card trick I hadn't seen before. I was fascinated and felt the need to know his life story, his aspirations, and dreams.

A new sensation overcame my body and I that's when I realized that this boy was one-of-a-kind and my life would never be the same after this night.
