Is it time to go already?

*Dani's POV*

That kiss; hard, but soft; fiery but cool; a matter of seconds but also forever. An explosion of total peace and serenity overwhelmed us both. The utter wonder on both of our faces as we parted, hoping this moment would never end. We looked intently into each others eyes, trying to understand what had just happened. I felt Riley coming into the room just as the kiss ended but i didnt bother to look in his direction. Neither of us spoke and we just kept silent.

"Hey Dani," Adri and Braiden walked in and i didn't break my gaze with Connor, "we should start heading out, we have to study for our Psychology midterm tomorrow. And you promised you would help."

I finally looked up at Adri, she was standing in front of the television tapping her foot impatiently. "Oh! i completely forgot about that...umm...yeah you're right we should get going." she looked at me suspiciously and i felt my face getting hot.

"Okay...whats up with you?" She asked. I didn't say anything. I felt awkward just blurting out the fact that Connor and I had just shared a blissful kiss.

"I can answer that!" Oh dear sweet baby Jesus, Riley. Don't answer. Just stop talking now. "They were totes just making out." he smirked as i felt everyone's eyes on us.

"We weren't making out!" Connor said defensively. Its true. We weren't making out per-say. We just kissed. A lot. For a long time. There's a difference. I couldn't help but bury my tomato-red face in my hands as everyone was just talking about it.

"Awww! That's so cute!" Adri said giddily. it was as if i wasn't even in the room anymore, just because i was hiding behind my hands. Or so i thought.

"Alright, its seriously not that big of a deal, no need to make people feel uncomfortable," Braiden noticed, "Its cute though." he smiled as i exposed my overly-blushed face. I stood up awkwardly and Connor did the same.

No one said anything else for a good minute and Adri spoke up. "Ready to head out, Dani?" no. i wasn't ready. .

"Yeah, I'm all set. We can go..." i bit my lip and said goodbye to Braiden,Riley, and Thomas. Adri had stayed inside saying goodbye to Braiden while Connor walked me outside. "I don't know about you...but that was really awkward!" I leaned against the car and he stood in front of me.

"Yeah...it was," he blushed and rubbed his neck, "but Its okay. I'm too happy to care about what other people think." he winked and i felt chills running down my spine.

"That's true...and i'm really glad that we were able to hang out today!" I started to play with my hair.

"Me too, and i was wondering...what time is your midterm tomorrow?" He asked in a shy tone.

"It starts at three and there's no time limit so i have no idea when i'll finish." Was he already planning to hang out with me again?

"Well let me know when you finish because i wanted to know if you can come to our concert tomorrow..." oh my gosh. he did want to see me again!

"I'll definitely see if i can make it!" I smiled wide and he embraced me.

"I'd love to see you there!" He hugged me tight and neither of us wanted to let go. As we finally let go he held both of my hands and kissed me again. I guess a hug as a goodbye wasn't enough.

But I'm okay with that.
