Just as I was about to give up my search for Dani, something pushed me to walk outside...and when I finally walked out, I saw them. Riley and Dani. Sitting on the curb under the crisp moonlight and his arm was wrapped tight around her waist, her head resting on his shoulder. I didn't know what to think at the moment... But I felt a wave of jealousy crash over me. And anger towards him. How dare he take advantage of her while she was clearly upset?! I'm sure he was more than happy that I made a huge mistake and he got an opportunity to be with her!

I made my way over to them and stood I front of them. I was able to get a closer look at Dani. Her eyes were puffy and her makeup was practically gone. "What do you want?" Riley spat.

"I didn't come here to talk to you, douche. I wanted to talk to Dani." She looked up at me and didn't say anything.

"Well... I don't really think she wants to talk to you right now, she needs some space, kay?" Who the hell does he think he is? If she needs space then maybe he should let her go.

"Look, I'm pretty sure you're not the boss of her. And if she doesn't want to talk then I want her to at least listen." I tried not to show how upset I was at him. I just wanted to rip his arm off of her.

He looked down at her and whispered something in her ear and she slightly nodded. Secrets. Now they're sharing and keeping secrets? No. Not okay. We aren't in third grade anymore...damn.

He finally stood up and helped her up as well, "let me know if you need anything okay?" He told her. And I just wanted to tell him that've was no linger needed. But before I said anything, she smiled lightly and thanked him. He kissed her on the cheek and I could feel my blood boiling, and he was well aware that it bothered me. Her cheeks went blush and I couldn't take it.

I cleared my throat and he looked at me then back at her and said goodbye."what the hell was that all about?" It sounded more stern than I had hoped.

"Why should you care? Aren't we just friends? You don't get to question me on what I do and whom I'm with. You don't get to interrogate me about where I've been because we don't have that kind of relationship," her voice grew louder and pitchy, "if you must know, I was just talking to Riley. Okay? Nothing happened except for me bitching about crap an him listening. He's a good guy, Connor, you should know."

"He just wants to get with you because I didn't want you like that!" Shit...not the right choice of words.

"Then why the hell would you lead me on if this wasn't going anywhere?! I didn't need any if this and I should've known better than to try to be with someone that's too good for me. Someone I barely even know to begin with. So what if your brother likes me? He's a gentleman and not an arrogant man-whore. So you can just stay the hell out of my life and I'll stay out of yours. Got it?!"

This is not the way I wanted this to be right now. I was hoping for that cliché movie moment where everything is forgiven and we would run into each others arms and kiss. I started to think back on what Adri was saying and she was right. Dani didn't deserve this, even if she just called me an arrogant man-whore. I should've just told her that I am just not ready for a relationship right now. It'd be selfish of me if I was, and even more so if it were an open relationship. With everything that's going on with the band, it wouldn't be fair to make her my second priority. I want to be with her, really. It's just not the right time. I just stood there and took in all the things she was yelling at me for. I didn't want to make it a huge scene so I didn't argue it contradict her. I was being stupid and I realized this. Nothing would mean more to me than a second chance and being able to show Dani that I'm not who I seem to be. I also owe Riley an apology. I'm glad she had someone to turn to and tell her that she'd be okay. I'm sure that's all she did need; a shoulder to cry on.

I regret the choice I made by letting her down. And when she finished telling me off I didn't say a word. I kept everything that I wanted to say to myself. I'm not sure why, but I feel as if there was enough yelling for one night.

She waited for me to say something and I didn't. She walked away with tears flowing down her face and even though I wanted to do something about it, I couldn't. I realize that I made the biggest mistake ever. I should've just opened up and told her what was on my mind.

She made her way up the ramp and back inside. Immediately after the door shut, I turned around and punched a nearby trash bin. Pain made its way through my hand and up my wrist, but I ignored it.

I really shouldn't have let her go. And for all I know, she could be gone forever.
