*Connor's POV*

Damn you Riley.

He had to interrupt just as I was about to kiss her.

For a stupid phone call!

I felt really bad afterward because I wanted to kiss her and she obviously wanted to kiss me too. I saw the disappointment in her eyes, and I don't blame her for it either. We walked out of the room and back downstairs. I made the stupid phone call to confirm our gig for tomorrow but I felt the need to make it up to her. I watched her as she sat down on the couch and played with her phone. Her long brown hair hanging perfectly to frame her face...her cheeks were still pink and I just smiled at how shy she was. It was really cute and I'm pretty sure she noticed that I was staring at her by the way she suddenly looked up at me and half smiled. For some reason I felt like Riley wanted more than just for me to make a phone call by the way he sat close to her and started up a conversation. Maybe I was just paranoid and turned my back as I continued talking on the phone.

I finished up and put the phone down. I made my way over to the couch and sat on the other side of Dani. I could tell that she felt awkward and I did too. "Hey Riley can you call mom and tell her that everything's all set when it comes to the gig?" he glared at me.

"Why do I have to? Why can't you call her?" of course he didn't wan to make one simple phone call. He rarely ever listens to what I tell him to do. But if he's smart about this then he'll call her.

"because I just got off the phone and I would greatly appreciate it!" I shot him a fake smile and he rolled his eyes at me.

"fine." he got off the couch and went into another room. Guess he was smart after all.

"I'm really sorry about that..." I bit my lip as she looked up at me.

"it's fine... Don't worry about it." she smiled.

I know I'm not a mind reader but I could definetely tell that she still felt a little awkward and I did too. "Riley can get annoying sometimes. But he's my younger brother so it's kind of his job."

"I guess that's true, but I wouldn't know. I'm an only child!" I wasn't sure if I should be jealous or not. I mean I love my brother but he can get irritating.

"having a sibling has its pros and cons I guess." we smiled at each other and I knew that I had to do it know. I had to kiss her and I didn't want her to leave without that happening.

I pushed her hair out of her face and she scooted closer to me. I got kind of nervous for some reason but we continued to lean in. We met halfway and I once again placed my hand lightly on the nape of her neck and she took her small fragile hand and put it on my shoulder. I felt my heart racing. Our lips met and it was as if there was no one else in the world but us two. Her lips were soft and welcoming. I felt myself going deeper into the kiss and our lips were moving perfectly in sync.

There were more than just sparks between us. And I couldn't be any happier.
