"Let's now reveal these five new songs." PD said and one by one the songs appeared on the screen.

The first one was <Firewalking>, a tropical house song which included a dance with chairs that looked terrific. The second one was Boom boom, an R&B song which sounded really youthful. The third one was <Listen to what I say>, a Hip-hop song incorporating some trap elements. The fourth one was <I will always remember>, a pop song which fused more traditional electronic sounds with modern ones. The last one was <Dream>, a powerful Hip-Hop song.

I recognised the setting of <Listen to what I say> as SM entertainment's practice room that I had seen so many times.  This song plus <Firewalking> and <Dream> were the ones that appealed to me the most.

"After hearing this five songs, which one do you want to choose?" PD asked as his video was back on screen. "This time you won't need to fret over it. Citizen Producers have already helped you guys choose."

After that, he explained how we each were going to receive an envelope with a location written on it, and we would have to go there.

The first one was Xukun. He dramatically opened his envelope and tried to trick all of us before leaving. Next was Cheng Linong.

After a few of them, I was called and they gave me my envelope. Once I opened it I saw a 2 on it. I then bowed and left.

"Which one did you get?!" Asked Qin Fen.

"It's a secret!" I teased him and left.

Once I entered the room, I saw Xukun, Justin and Ziyi there.

"Was this the <Papillon> room and no one told me or what?" I said making them all laugh.

"It has to be <Firewalking>." Said Xukun then. "If Lin's here, it must be."

"It could be, but <Firewalking> is heavily vocal-centred. You are all rappers here." I said.

There then was a knock on the door and it opened revealing Chengcheng. We made eye contact for a few awkward seconds before I diverted my gaze from him.

"It's definitely not <Firewalking> now." I said and Xukun nodded.

One by one, the rest came. Zhu Xingjie among them.

"Linlin!" Said Xingjie hugging me. "Finally we get a stage together."

"Thank god!" I said and we both laughed.

The door then opened another time and Zeren came in, making all the boys excited. I was happy to have another dancer in our group. It would make the learning process much easier.

Zeren began literally screaming and brought the mood up a lot. Chengcheng and I made eye contact once again and I stopped laughing immediately.

It had become a habit for us to look at each other whenever something happened or we found something funny. I guessed we would be having a lot of awkward moments from then on.

After everyone had arrived, sat down in a semi-circle before the staff told us it was time to see which song was chosen for us.

"Ruibin, move your ass and let the lovebirds sit together." Said Xingjie and I shook my head quickly.

"There's no need to..." I said as all the cameras were filming.

"Oh, my bad!" Said Ruibin and moved aside. "Sit here, Lin."

As to the Citizen producers we still had to pretend we were dating I had no choice but to sit next to Chengcheng, the mood becoming really awkward.

"Which song do you think the Citizen Producers chose for you?" One of the staff asked us breaking the silence.

"I think <Dream> and <Listen To What I Say>." Said Yanchen "I like them both."

"For me, it's <Listen To What I Say> and I think <Dream> and <Firewalking>." Said Xukun. "I quite like these three songs."

"I think Citizen Producers voted for us to be put together because maybe what we like and our styles are quite similar. I also like what the others like." Ziyi said. "I think <Firewalking>, <Listen to what I say> and <Dream>, these three songs may be what I'm best at or what I like more. I also hope to get on of the three of them."

"And you, Lin?" The girl from the staff asked me.

"I bet it's <Dream>." I said nonchalantly and they asked me why. "I bet my life that Bu Fan and Xiao Gui got in < Listen To What I Say> and there are too many rappers here for it to be <Firewalking>."

Then we decided that Ziyi should be the one doing the reveal.

"You need to rip it off in one go!" Said Zhengting.

"Let's go!" Said Ruibin.

"Hurry up!" Said Zhengting.

He then ripped a little bit teasing us which made me almost go mad.

"Just flipping do it!" I said becoming impatient.

He still kept teasing us for like a minute, so I moved Chengcheng's arm, which was acting as a barrier, aside and went towards Ziyi before ripping it off in one go and hitting the back of his head.

"I said do it, you idiot!" I said and looked at which song we had gotten.

As I predicted, it was <Dream>. All the boys began shouting in excitement but I kept still as I already knew it was going to be that one.

"What have I gotten myself into..." I said shaking my head.

Once they had all calmed down, we sat down back again and the director told us we had to split into two groups to practice and choose two temporary centres and a leader.

"Let's elect the leader first. A temporary one." Said Zhengting, who was sitting next to me.

No one wanted to be one, so I looked at him and placed the badge on him.

"No one wants to, so you are the one selected. Any objections?" I said everyone shook their heads. "Then that's settled."

"Now, to choose the centre, we need to consider a factor." Said Zhengting going into leader mode. " Firstly, he or she needs to sing well; secondly, his or her dancing has to be good as well. Because in the end, if someone gets eliminated, I'm sure they will make us pick one of the centres. They have to be the best."

"Me, brothers, I want to be the centre!" Said Xingjie. "The reason I want to be the centre is because I want to show my vocals. In the previous rounds, everyone saw my rap performances, but I actually study pop singing."

He then sang a line of the song and he did it extremely well.

"Why have you been hiding it from us for so long?!" I said smiling at him. "Damn, those vocals!"

The boys then all laughed and Xingjie thanked me.

By unanimous votes, he was elected the first centre. Ruibin was the other one.

Through voting, we split up into team 1 and team 2. As we were an odd number, I was in team one, with Xingjie, Zhengting, Yanchen, Zeren, Justin and... Chengcheng.
