The rehearsal was going smoothly and they were all working diligently. I decided to pick some drinks and snacks for all and went to the kitchens. Zhou Longwei was there so I decided to approach him.
"Good morning!" I said sneaking from behind him scaring him.
"Gosh, Lin, don't scare me like that!" He told me off recovering from his mini heart attack.
"Sorry." I told him.
"It's okay. Did you need anything?" He asked fully recovered then.
"Indeed. I was wondering if I could get some snacks for my teammates." I told him.
"Alright! I'll pick some up." He told me. "Anything that you want exactly?"
"Anything will do." I told him and he left towards the kitchens.
I then sat down on one of the tables and waited for him to come back. I got a text and decided to check it out.
JUSTIN: Where are you?
JUSTIN: Chengcheng told me to ask you.
LIN: Can't he ask me himself?
LIN: I'm at the kitchens. I wanted to pick up some snacks for all of you.
JUSTIN: But you are okay?
LIN: Yes, yes. Don't worry. I'll be there in a few minutes.
After that, Longwei came back with two bags. One full of food and the other full of drinks. I then thanked him and headed back to the practice room.
On my way, I saw some of the boys from other groups, but Bu Fan suddenly picked up one of my bags.
"They seemed heavy. Let me help you." He told me and I thanked him. "Are you the leader of the group or just their maid?"
"None of them." I said and we both chuckled. "It's just that I'm a little sick and cannot practice, so I tried to make myself useful."
"You are sick?" He asked looking worried. "What happened? Are you okay?"
"Don't worry, it's just a light fever." I said trying to calm him down. "Nothing to worry about."
"You better be feeling well by the performance day. I want a strong competitor!" He told me ruffling my hair.
"I will, and I will beat you!" I said confidently.
"We'll see that." He told me chuckling.
We then arrived at the rehearsal room and opened the door. The boys were laying down on the floor all sweaty.
"I'm back!" I said raising the food bag. "And I came with something you will all enjoy!"
"Is that food that I'm seeing?" Asked Yanchen.
"Yes, it is!" I told him and they all quickly stood up.
"I'll leave this bag here, Lin." Bu Fan told me before leaving. "See you later!"
The boys then began searching through the bags to pick up food and drinks. In less than thirty seconds, the bags had been emptied and they were all sitting down on the floor peacefully eating.
I went to fetch something for myself but saw that there was nothing, so I just picked up the bags and threw them away before going towards the laptop to play the song. I was feeling much better already, so rehearsing it once wouldn't do any harm.
I then began dancing and singing along to it, not realising the boys were looking at me intently. (A/N: Imagine her doing Qian Zhenghao's parts, but her being A LOT fiercer. If you've seen Produce 101 China, imagine her having Yamy's fierce look.)
Once I finished they all began clapping and screaming <Lin> on top of their lungs making me laugh.
"If you perform like this when sick, I can't imagine how you'd do when feeling your best!" Said Zeren placing his arm on my shoulder.
"That was amazing!" Said Xingjie high-fiving me.
"Thank you, boys." I said and lightly bowed.
We then all sat down back again and chatted for a while. My stomach then growled and I was hoping no one heard. I then felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around only to see half a sandwich on my face.
"I heard it." Chengcheng said not looking at me. "You can have it. I'm already full."
"But you are never full." I said and he picked my arm and forced me to pick up the sandwich.
"I said take it." He said and turned back around to continue chatting with Zhengting and Justin. "And don't forget to take your tablet. It's already time."
"Thank you..." I muttered and turned around, not noticing the light smile I had.

When we had all finished eating, it was time to see Jackson for our class. We all headed there and waited for him to arrive.
"How is your team doing?" I asked Xukun.
"We're doing good. Ziyi and I have been helping them perfect some moves, but we are doing really well. Thanks for asking." He told me.
"No problem. You know that if you need any help, you just have to ask." I told him and the door opened, Jackson coming in.
"Good morning, guys." He said and we all bowed. "How have your rehearsals been? Good? May team 1 please come to the front?"
We then all stood in a line to begin singing so that our evaluation could begin.
"I'm sorry, teacher." Chengcheng suddenly said and we all looked at him confused. "Lin is sick and I just wanted you to take that into account. Her vocals may not be as powerful due to that."
"Oh, thank you for telling me." Jackson told him with a mix between a thankful and an angry look in his eyes before turning towards me. "If you want to you can sit down. Don't overwork yourself."
"It's okay. I'll manage." I told him and bowed to the both of them. "Thank you for worrying."
Jackson then played the song and we all began singing. Xingjie's vocals did not falter and left Jackson amazed. Chengcheng's rap was also really good. He delivered it with confidence and it really suited him
"I like it." Jackson simply said once we finished. "The overall feeling is good. You guys have the most confidence during the NaNaNa part."
We then laughed at his comment because it honestly was really true.
"Like, really. It really gets to you. I felt your strength and energy. " Jackson continued. "Zhu Xingjie, aren't you a rapper? I'm a bit surprised today. You can sing too!"
"Yes. Actually, I have previously always been a vocal." Xingjie explained.
"What are you talking about?" Jackson asked confused. "What are you talking about? Aren't you a rapper?"
"But previously I have always been a vocal." Xingjie told him.
"What are you exactly?" Jackson asked him.
"I'm actually a magician!" Xingjie said and we all laughed.
