The next morning, I woke up at six to get ready to go to record.

I woke up Chengcheng and he groaned, but when I reminded him we were recording today, he got up in an instant.

After we both showered and got ready, we went to the cafeteria to have breakfast. We stuck with a coffee and a hot chocolate as we didn't have much time to eat.

We then headed to the studio and knocked on the door.

"Come in!" We heard someone say from the inside.

Chengcheng then opened the door and we saw Yixing sitting in front of the mixing table arranging some things.

"Sorry, PD. We didn't know you were here." Said Chengcheng. "Lin booked the studio but I guess there must be an issue."

"No, there isn't any. The staff asked me to help you out." He said and stood up. "Of course, I agreed."

"Now there's more pressure added!" Said Chengcheng smiling uncomfortably.

"Don't worry. Right now we aren't mentor and trainee. I'm just here to help you out. Right, Lin?" Yixing said placing an arm around my shoulder.

"Of course, my fake brother. (A/N:Reference to the Happy Camp extra book)" I said smiling.

"Okay...?" Said a confused Chengcheng.

"Let's get to work, shall we?" Said PD now more seriously and we nodded. "You brought the instrumentals, right?"

"Yes, here." I said and gave him a pen drive." They should all be there. The clean intrumental for the one we both know is there too, so copy it to give it to the staff. "

"Said and done. Now, which one will be first?"

"My new swag." I told him and he nodded.

"Let me adjust everything and we will start. Who will go first?"

"I'll go first, but let's just do until Chengcheng's part and then he continues from there. That way no one has to wait too much."

"Perfect. Go in there, then. I'll tell you when everything's ready."

As I was about to go inside the booth, the camera crew suddenly came in.

"What can we help you with?" Asked Yixing.

"We were asked to record this for the final episode." A man from the staff told him.

"Oh, sure. Come in!" Told them Yixing and they all thanked him.

One of the cameramen went inside the booth with me and he set everything up.

"Say something to the camera before starting." He said as he placed a microphone on my t-shirt. "Just the usual greeting and tell them what you are about to do."

I then nodded and he went to the camera and pressed the record button.

"Hit the slate, please!" The director told me through the speakers.

I then hit the slate and approached the camera.

"Hello, Citizen Producers! I am your one and only girl, Zhu Lin, and today I will be recording the songs for the final! Even though we still have to go through an elimination process, you will see this performance after the ones debuting have been announced, so this isn't exactly for the program." I said to the camera." Today I have PD and Fan Chengcheng with me."

After that, the cameraman told me that was enough and I directly went to work. PD had set up everything already, so now it was finally time to record.

It all went smoothly and PD was pleaaed with the results in only six tries, which was relieving.

It was then Chengcheng's turn and he went inside before I left.

"You were amazing."He said and kissed my cheek." I hope I don't ruin your song!"

"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll improve it if something." I told him. "Good luck!"

I then went outside and sat down on the couch behind PD.

"You were really good! I really like how it is turning out." He told me and I thanked him. "Okay, Chengcheng. Your turn."

He then tried it once and it sounded nice, but I felt there could be some improvements.

"Why don't you try stretching the last syllable of each sentence?" I asked him through the speakers. "It's just to check how it sounds."

Chengcheng then did an okay sign an we tried again. This time I felt it sounded a lot better, but there was still room for improvement.

Around three and a half hours later, we had finished recording both <My New Swag> and <U make me> and we decided to stop for a while.

I had brought some snacks with me, so I took them out for us to eat them.

"Thank you." Said PD as he ate a bowl of ramen. "I am famished."

"It was nothing." I assured him.

"We'll be leaving now." Said the director. "Good luck on the rest of the songs."

"Thank you." We all said and bowed. "You worked hard."

After they left, we stayed there talking about random things and we even played some small games to pass the time.

"Your voices really compliment each other nicely." Told us Yixing. "They join to create the perfect duet."

"I was honestly really worried it wouldn't sound good when we came here." I confessed. "Even though I've already sang with him once, I still was a little bit nervous because it was me singing and not rapping. I have never rapped in front of the Citizen Producers."

"Well, there is always a first time for everything." PD encouraged me. "You honestly have amazing skills, there's no point in lying! You already write your own songs and they have an excellent quality, you sing, you rap and you dance. All of this taking into account you are still 16 years old is amazing. I'm not being subjective. Everyone with some knowledge would agree with what I say. "

"I feel my skills are nothing compared to her's sometimes." Admitted Chengcheng.

"That's nonsense!" Told him PD. "You are both unique in your own ways. You managed to pave your way in this competition on your own. You showed everyone that the Chengcheng that was too nervous that he forgot the lyrics in the first episode wasn't at his full potential but, most importantly, you improved through your hard work, which is what matters in the end. You should never compare yourself with someone else, everyone is different. You should be proud of all you have accomplished. "
