"Zuo Ye..." Said PD "or Zhu Lin? Who will it be?"
"This is not funny anymore!" I groaned more to myself than to anyone.
"Congratulations, trainee Zhu Lin." He finally announced and I dropped to my knees. "You got 1,771,463 votes from the citizen producers."
I then felt a pair of arms embracing me and it was Zuo Ye. I couldn't help but cry when I saw him.
"I'm sorry." I told him in between sobs. "I'm sorry."
"Hey, congratulations, you deserve it!" He told me.
"But you-" I began but he cut me off
"Lin, it truly is okay." He said looking into my eyes. "Go up there. Show everyone they did well choosing you as the last trainee and not me!"
After thanking him for the nth time, I went to do my speech. PD gave me a microphone and a tissue at the same time, making me chuckle a little.
"Yes!" I yelled as soon as I got to my spot making some of them laugh. "I'm honestly really conflicted right now. I am happy because I am in this spot but I'm sad because each one of you sitting down right there lost your chance because of me, and I'm sorry. As you all know, this last stage wasn't the easiest one for me. I was going to sugar coat it and say it was all okay, but it simply isn't.
"During the week previous to the performance I lost eight kilogrammes and not in a good way. I basically starved myself to look good in front of people who only seemed to see flaws in me. I tried to impress those who I shouldn't and forgot about those who I truly care about. What I mean here is that thanks to the support of you, my brothers, I was able to recover from all of that and go back to the old Lin that isn't perfect, but is herself." I said in between sobs. "I will never ever, and I promise, forget about any of you standing here nor any of the other boys that already left. Lin Yihan, don't think I've forgotten about you!"
I then tried to chuckle a little but ended up crying once again.
"Sorry... I really want to thank all of you..." I said but ended up crying again. "Sorry- I can't."
"Don't worry, Lin." PD told me. "I'm sure everyone here got your message."
He then approached me and gave me a hug.
"I'm such a crybaby." I said once he released me from the hug.
"Believe me, Lin. You aren't. You've gone through a lot recently and this is just you releasing all that was bottled up." He told me and then went back to his place. "If we need to take something important out of Lin's short but meaningful speech is that this program is not all about debuting. It is true that what we show on screen is the product of your hard work and your ultimate goal is to debut but is not the most important thing nor the only one. In here, you have both grown as artists and as people.
"If we go back to the first day of the program, you were all so scared of the unknown. The ones of you who came in groups only spoke to those in your groups and the ones who came here alone were too scared to even talk to anyone." He pointed out. "And you should see you now. Poor Lin here even says she's sorry for being one step closer to her dream just because he cares more about all of you than she cares of herself!
"For me, the most important thing is to have a sense of companionship, a sense of group. In here, you have surpassed that and turned even into a family. I think that's one of the things you should take back home, guys." He continued. "You see all of those crying faces up there, in the chairs? They know they have passed but instead of focusing on that they are crying because you are leaving. If that isn't important, then I don't know why I'm even here."
After that sweet speech from PD, I went to my seat and kissed it before sitting down on it.
"Idol Producer's second ranking's first 36 ranks have all been announced. The 36 trainees who are able to stay and peform for the Citizen Producers. Once again, I sincerely congratulate you all." He said and they all applauded. "The thirty six trainees who remain in the second ranking, do you have the confidence to continue to present a better performance for the citizen producers to see?"
"Yes!" We all said from our spots.
"Let's thank the Citizen Producers once more." He said and directed our bow.
"Citizen Producers, please take care of us!"
After that, PD left and we all had time to cheer up the ones leaving. As I was standing up, I heard what sounded like a stampede and looked back only to see Chengcheng, Zhengting, Justin, Xukun and Zeren running down the stairs almost falling over.
As I was going to ask them what was up, I was then crushed in a hug by Chengcheng.
"Oh my gosh, I almost lost hope for a second there!" Chengcheng said.
"You better rise up in the rankings next time or else I'll get a heart attack!" Said Zeren and hugged me once he released me.
"I'm going to sue you, young lady." Said Zhengting and hugged me too. "You almost killed me there!"
"Congratulations, 姐姐 (older sister)!" Said Justin nearly crushing me.
I then saw Xukun and he didn't move from his place. He just opened his arms and I quickly hugged him.
"I knew you'd make it!" He told me.
After they congratulated me, we all went down to see the boys who were leaving. Even though I was sad for all of them, I couldn't help but stay longer with Yanlei and the twins. I would most definitely miss them.

A/N
Hello, everyone!
I will be taking a break for two or three days because it honestly sometimes gets a little overwhelming to write so that you have a chapter each day. I'm going to take a "healing" short vacation to come back even stronger for the next chapters.
I'm sorry for doing this because I love writing this book and I'm really happy whenever I see your comments or you like the chapters.
I hope you don't mind too much and I'm really sorry.
See you in a few days,
Sandra(珊卓)。
