Chapter 25

I grabbed a few things I needed and rushed out the door. I ran all the way towards Roy's office. I burst through the door to see Armstrong, Roy, Riza, and Ross there waiting for me.

"Sorry I took a while to get here," I said through breaths.

"No need for that now, Envy," Armstrong said.

I got up and straightened myself, "What's the word?"

"We think we might have found the place, but we're not 100% sure if it's the right place," Ross said.

"We've got to see if she's there. Who knows what kind of trouble she's in."

"I understand your concern, but we placed someone there to keep a lookout for us. We're supposed to be getting a call within a few minutes," Riza said.

We waited there for a few moments until the phone did ring. Roy picked it up.

"Yes? I see. Yes, we will be there. Tell me that again," he said as he began writing something down. "Yes, thank you." Roy hung up and grabbed the paper he was writing on. "Let's get together and head over to this place," he said handing it to me.

I looked at it quickly and handed it to Riza, "Colonel Mustang, should we bring any sort of weapons?"

"We have what we need."

"What's the plan then?"

"Armstrong is breaking in with me. Once we're in, you, Ross, and Riza are going to the basement to find Y/N. Envy, remember, we're going up against another homunculus. Do you know how to stop one?"

I felt something in my pocket and nodded, "I know how to, sir."

"Good. Move out!"

"Yes, sir!" we said in unison as we saluted.

We headed out into the late night and towards the place where we were going.

Everything around me was fading in and out. My head was pounding as I looked up at Richard and Lust. I hadn't slept well since the beginning of this. With the major blood loss, I could easily be on the verge of death.

"This is your last chance, Y/N, you either come with me, or you'll die."

"I'd rather die," I said.

"Have it your way. She's all your's, Lust," Richard said. He walked away and up the steps. He slammed the basment door after exiting.

"Now it's just you and me. Let's play a game, shall we?" she asked with a smile on her face.

"Give me hell!" I yelled.

"Is that a challenge? If it is, challenge accepted."

"Are you sure that's the house?" Armstrong asked.

"Positive," Roy said.

A soldier came running out from the side of the house to where we were, "Richard is in there. No sign of Y/N and the homunculus."

"Alright. Let's execute the plan. We can't kill Richard, not yet. We need to get answers from him," Roy said.

We all nodded and Armstrong and Roy broke into the house, through the side wall. We all ran in and I headed towards the basement with Riza and Ross.

"What the hell is going on?" Richard yelled.

"Richard Lister. Or should I call you, the Reaper Alchemist," Roy said.

"Roy Mustang. And Major Alex Louis Armstrong. The Flame Alchemist and the Strong Arm Alchemist. What do I owe the pleasure to have two great alchemists in my presence?" he asked.

"Give up the game, Richard. You're under arrest," Roy said.

He smirked, "You have to come get me first."

"Envy, where is the basement?" Ross asked.

I walked over to a door and tried turning the door knob. Locked. "This has to be it. It's locked. Riza."

"I'm on it," she said. She pulled out a gun and shot the door knob off. The door slowly swung open.

I opened the door and walked down the steps. When I reached the end, the scene was horrifying. She was laying on the ground in a pool of blood. Her eyes were bloodshot and tired. She looked as if she walked through hell. No. She didn't walk through hell. She's in hell. I handed Ross something.

"Draw this on the floor. I'll draw Lust in to that area."

"How much time to I have?"

"Not much. Please hurry."

Ross nodded and headed to a spot in the basement.

"What shall we do, Envy?" Riza asked.

"Bullets won't do anything to a homunculus. Just prevent her from hurting Y/N. Once you got her, get her out of here and to the soldiers waiting outside with an ambulance."

"Got it," Riza said.

"Lust!" I called.

She turned her head and smiled at me, "Envy, it's been a while since the last time I saw you."

"You were supposed to be dead," I said, making my way towards her.

"I see you're still alive," she said.

"I'm alive and I'm going to take you down."

"I see you're here for the girl."

"I am. Step away from her, Lust."

She stepped aside and revealed her. My heart dropped to the floor. It looked like she had been shot, but there were no bullet shells. I looked up and sneered at her.

"You're back at it with your damn fingers, Lust!"

"I am."

"You bitch!"

I ran after her and turned my arm into a sharpened point. I knew this was going to do nothing, but I needed to draw her over to Ross. I had the thing in my pocket ready. I swung my arm at her and she shot her fingers at me. I dodged, but one slightly ripped my uniform. I backed away, making her step away from Y/N. Out of the corner of my eye, Riza ran behind me and grabbed Y/N. She helped her up and ran up the stairs with her. I looked at Ross. She was ready. I backed up further and further until she was on the transmutation circle. I grabbed the thing in my pocket and held it out to her. She stopped dead in her tracks.

"Where did you get that?"

"I've had this since we met. I also have Pride's, Wrath's, Greed's, Gluttony's, Sloth's, and your weakness. In case I had to fight you one last time."

I held onto it and activated the transumtation circle. She fell to her knees. She then placed her hands on the ground and began coughing up the red water stones. She was done coughing them up and she looked up at me.

"Goodbye, Lust," I said as I turned my hand back into a sharpened point. I stabbed her through her back and through her chest.

"You're pretty smart there, Envy. Good luck with those humans."

Her body faded away. I sighed and fell onto my knees and grabbed the locket. I held it in my palm and turned towards Ross.

"Let's go help Armstrong and Mustang."
