Ross and I ran up the steps to see Richard fighting Armstrong and Roy. Riza was there to help them out. I turned my hand back into a point and ran after Richard. His back was behind me and he was defenseless. I struck the point through the back and it came out through the stomach. He looked down and saw blood dripping from his stomach. He turned around and saw me.
"Never turn your back to a homunculus," I smirked.
He fell to his knees and I pulled out my hand and turned it back to normal. I wiped off the blood and turned to Roy.
"Now what, Colonel Mustang?"
"We take him back for interrogation. After we clean him up."
Armstrong picked him up and we all walked out of the house and towards the crowd of soldiers and paramedics. I walked into the ambulance that had Y/N laying in there. I sat next to her and held her hand.
"You're going to be ok, Y/N. I promise you that," I said. I kissed her forehead and rubbed my thumb across her hand. Tears blurred my vision as I waited to get a move on.
"Envy," Roy said.
I stood up and saluted, "Yes, Colonel?"
"We're heading back to central command. We need your help interrogating Richard."
"What about Y/N?"
"We will have Lieutenant Ross be with her until you come."
"Thank you, Colonel."
He nodded and we were on our way back to the command center. I walked into a room that held Richard, Armstrong, Roy, and Riza. Richard was tied to a chair while Roy and Armstrong was in front of him. Riza was behind Roy. I looked and saw a mirror. A one way mirror. It led into a different room where other soldiers were listening to our conversation.
"So tell me, Reaper Alchemist, why did you capture Y/N? When it was clear as day when you kidnapped her," Roy said.
"I just wanted her back."
"In a relationship?" Riza asked.
"Yes."
I walked next to Riza and looked at Richard.
"Why?" Armstrong asked.
"I loved her. I didn't mean to do what I did. I guess I was just letting my friend down there do the talking rather than my heart."
"That's a poor excuse to why you kidnapped someone," Roy said.
He sighed, "I want to make sure she was safe. And that I am a better boyfriend than that homunculus right there!"
"She is safe with me. It's better she's with me than you. Look at the harm you caused her! With her condition, she could die!" I said.
"Better for her. If we can't have her, no one can."
I sneered, "You sound like Greed."
"I was a good friend of his."
"That explains why you're acting like this," I sighed.
"I'll tell you this, Envy. If you just give me Y/N, then I won't harm you and I won't harm her. Physically and mentally."
"Why in hell would I agree to that?"
"You know as much as I do you want to go see her right now. So you want to get this interrogation over with. Let's make a deal: if you give her to me, I won't harm any of you. Not Riza, not Roy, and not Armstrong. Hell, not the Fuhrer himself!"
"I will not accept to these conditions."
"Alright. Then we can continue this interrogation for days, weeks, months, even years. And you will never be able to see Y/N again."
I sneered and walked towards him. Riza grabbed my wrist, informing me not to do anything rash. I sighed and glared at Richard.
"How did you get a homunculus in your possession?" I asked.
"Lust and I go way back. Back to before I even met you. No I'm joking. I had this all planed out."
"And what was that?" Roy asked.
"Why would I talk? I've already given you too much information."
Roy got up and let Riza sit down. He put his hand on my shoulder and led me out of the room. He closed the door and led me to where Y/N was staying at the moment.
"Riza and Armstrong will take care of the interrogation for today. If he doesn't talk about this plan he had, then we will keep at him. Got it?"
"Yes. Thank you, Colonel."
"Go in. She's waiting for you."
I smiled and walked into her room. Ross was waiting for me. I saluted to her and she walked out and joined Roy. I moved a chair to where her bed was so I could be next to her. I looked over at the monitor and saw her blood had gotten dangerously low when she was in the basement. She suffered from malnutrition, dehydration, and major blood loss. Richard had put her through hell. If he really loved her, he would not have done this to her. There was a breathing mask on her face. Her skin was pasty white. It almost looked as if she was a ghost. I held her hand as I sat there in silence. There were bags surrounding her. One was giving her water, another food, and the last one was blood. I pulled back my sleeve and saw the wristband. I sighed and looked at the ceiling.
"Please help me, Becca. I need your guidance. How do I help Y/N when she's better? Please, show me something. I need your help."
I looked at her, tears congregating. "I'm so sorry, Y/N. I should have found you sooner. Now you're here, in a terrible condition. I just want you to know, you're going to get better. Don't worry." I reached into my pocket and pulled out a small flower I had picked for her before this entire situation happened. I put it in her hand and rested her hand on her stomach. I kissed her forehead before leaving. "Keep on fighting, Y/N. I'll be here to fight alongside with you."
I got up and walked down the hall and out of the building. I headed towards the apartment. I walked in, changed out of my uniform into sweatpants, a tank top, and a hoodie over top. I walked towards the kitchen and looked out the window. Snowflakes began falling. Winter is coming.
