Chapter 27

~2 days later~

In the morning, I headed into the interrogation room with Riza. A few days had passed by since we had first captured Richard and killed Lust. Y/N was still in the medical room. Her eyes have yet to open. Her skin is still a ghost white. Her blood is reaching to where it needs to be, but that will take another few days. When she's done in the medical room, she'll have to go to physical rehab and regain her strength. It was hard not having her at home. It was quiet and lonely.

"Anything yet?" I asked Armstrong.

"Nothing. Richard has been giving us hints as to what his plan was. Roy and Ross were trying their best with him. No luck," he said.

I sighed. Armstrong left the room and I stood behind Ross while Riza stood behind Roy.

"It's been three days. Can you please tell us what you were planning?" Roy asked, clearly frustrated and fed up with Richard's behavior.

"Nah. I kind of like it to see you this way."

"That's it you son of a bitch!"

Roy got up and turned towards me, "You're in charge of this investigation right now. I'll be back in a few hours."

"Colonel, should I come with you?" Riza asked.

"No, stay here with Envy. Just in case," he said and left the room. Riza sat down and I stood in between Ross and Riza. I glared right into Richard's eyes. I had a way of breaking him, but Roy had told me not to use it until absolutely necessary. I think the time is now. We're not getting the answers we need. 

An hour went by and he still did not want to talk. I was growing very impatient. He was getting on my last nerve. I looked at the clock behind him. 5:30 PM. I sighed. I wanted to see Y/N today, seems like that's not going to happen. 

"This has been going on for too long," I sneered.

"What are you going to do about it?" Richard asked.

I turned my hand into a point and stuck it under his chin, "What I should of done a long time ago," I said.

"Envy," Ross said.

"No, I need to do this. I need these damn answers! What was your fucking plan? Tell me now or I will wipe that smug ass look off your face!"

Riza stood up and got her gun loaded, "Envy, back off of Richard. We still need him."

"After we get this so called plan out of him, I am going to kill him. I don't need him to be around so I can worry my ass off about Y/N's safety. And the safety of others."

"I understand where you are coming from, Envy, but we need him for something," Riza said.

"What do you need him for?" I asked.

"Top secret. Only Colonel Mustang knows."

I sighed and turned the point back into my hand. I walked out of the room and closed the door. I took a deep breath and walked towards Y/N's room. As I was walking I looked out of the windows. Snow was finally falling and it covered about three inches on the ground. It had been snowy for a few days now. I smiled, remembering how Y/N said she loved the winter. I walked into her room and saw someone sitting in a chair.

"Who are you?" I asked.

The man stood up and smiled nervously, "Just wanting to visit."

I turned my hand into a point in my pocket and sneered at him. "I'll ask you again, who are you?"

"Someone you once knew," he whispered. He walked out of the room and turned back towards me, "She's quite a beauty. I hope to see you around."

I slightly nodded and he walked out. I stared at where he once stood.

"Is anybody there?"

I turned and saw Y/N picking up her head. This was the first movement she had since four days ago. I looked at the monitor. Her blood was back to where it was. Food and water levels were at a nice place. I walked over to her and held her hand.

"It's nice to see you're doing well, Y/N."

"Envy, what happened?"

I kissed her forehead and smiled, "A lot of shit has happened. Do you remember what happened?"

"Not really. Other than Lust was trying to kill me and you came in to save me."

"You've been out for at least four days."

"Four days?!"

"Yeah. You really had me worried there."

"I'm sorry, Envy."

"Don't be, Y/N. Don't be," I said kissing her hand.

She smiled and looked out the window, "It's snowing. How long has it been snowing?"

"For four days."

"I always loved winter."

"I know you do," I smiled.

"When do you think I'll get out of here?"

"With everything looking great, probably not until a few more days."

She sighed and fell back onto the bed, "I want to get out of here as soon as I can."

"Don't worry, Y/N. You will."

I heard footsteps and then the door opened up. Ross came in. She was breathing heavily and looked up at me.

"Ross, is everything alright?"

"Colonel and Lieutenant need you back in the interrogation room. Major Armstrong will be joining you shortly."

I looked at Y/N, "I'll be back." I kissed her forehead and looked at Ross.

"Can you look after her?"

"I will."

I ran out of the room and back towards the interrogation room. I walked in and saw Roy and Riza were surrounding Richard. He had a cheeky grin on his face.

"What's this all about?"

"He gave us something," Roy said.

"What is it?"

Richard sighed, "Fine. You guys are no fun. The lady I was with when you ratted me out to Y/N was Lust. She hid she was a homunculus. She hid it very well. After Y/N kicked me out and I went with Lust, I found out what she could do. So, I used her to get Y/N. I planned on kidnapping her in the apartment, but you made it too easy. I brought her to my house and put her in the basement. I did not intend on killing her. Lust went a little overboard on that. Anyway, that was my plan. To get her in enough pain so that she'd plead for the pain to stop. Or I could show her I could take her pain away. But she toughed it out and made it through."

"That was your damn plan?" I asked.

"Yes."

I turned my hand into a point and stuck it under his chin, "Colonel, do I have your permission to kill him?"

"Permission granted," Roy said.

"But, sir, I thought you said we needed him for something."

"We don't need him anymore."

I smiled creepily at Richard and pushed the point through his chin and it came out from the top of his head. I ripped it out and his head hung low. Blood was pouring out from his chin and from the top of his head. I cleaned off my hand and looked at Roy and Riza. I walked out, talked to Y/N for a bit, and I headed back to the apartment. While I was walking, I ran into the same man that was with Y/N.

"Who the hell are you? I want to know."

"I think you already know, Envy."

He pulled off his hood and revealed his face. I stared at him. Shocked, angry, sad, and confused.
