SCENE 16

Raeni is sitting in the common area, along with Kwabena and Jasmine, who are both revising History. Christopher arrives. Raeni stands up to greet him.

Raeni: Hey, you.

Christopher: Hi.

Raeni: How was Media?

Christopher: It was fine. But we didn't get to use the computers today.

Raeni: Oh, that's a shame. Maybe you'll get to use them next lesson?

Christopher: Maybe.

They both sit down on the couch.

I have literally nothing to do now.

Jasmine overhears.

Jasmine: Apart from revising?

Christopher: I've already done enough of that.

Kwabena: Are you sure? You haven't got any extra Drama or Media or Business stuff you could look at?

Christopher nods.

Fine then.

Raeni: I would revise some Maths, but I've finished all the past papers I have. Plus I haven't got any of my textbooks for my other subjects.

Jasmine: Why not get some from the library?

Raeni: Honestly... I think I prefer my own books. I've personally met the professors that wrote them. However, these books... needless to say, aren't as good.

Kwabena: Oh, I get you.

Christopher: So what are we gonna do? Sit here bored?

Raeni: What else could we do this free period?

Kwabena clears his throat to get their attention. He goes to them.

Kwabena: Erm... I might have an idea?

Raeni: What is it?

Kwabena: You could go and talk to some other people around college?

Jasmine: Good idea. You haven't really spoken to anyone apart from Christopher. Why don't you go and see what Zoe's up to?

Raeni: Why not? Where will she be?

Christopher: Probably with either Charli or Craig.

Kwabena: Or Quinn.

Raeni: Where did you see her last?

Kwabena: They were in the common area when you and Chris were giving out sweets. They went out afterwards, but I think they're back now. I'm sure they won't be far if you go and look for them.

Raeni: Alright. Come on, Christopher!

She helps Christopher up from his seat. As they are about to leave, Jasmine stops them.

Jasmine: Guys, wait! They're not in the college.

Christopher: Huh?

Raeni: Where are they, then?

Jasmine: Zoe just posted on her Snap that her, Quinn, Charli and Craig are going to South Bank.

Christopher: Why are they going to South Bank?

Jasmine: I don't know. But you can see for yourselves. I'll text her and let her know you guys wanna come.

Raeni: Thanks.

Kwabena: You need to be quick, though. Free periods really don't last that long.

Jasmine: Kwabena, it's fine. We have lunch after, remember?

Kwabena: Oh, yeah...

Raeni: Well, I suppose we can see what they're up to. Would you like to come with me, Christopher?

Christopher: Yes! I mean, sure. I mean-

Raeni chuckles.

Raeni: I already have my answer, thanks. Let's go!

They exit the common area. Kwabena and Jasmine continue revising.
