SCENE 18
Quinn and Charli are looking at the pictures on their camera. Zoe notices something about one of the pictures.
Zoe: That's weird.
Charli: What?
Zoe: Craig looks blurred in this one. Why's that?
Quinn: It's supposed to make him look faster.
Zoe: Oh, right.
Quinn goes through more of the pictures.
Craig comes to take a look.
Craig: OK, I've made sure all my skateboard wheels are intact. Let's see some of these pics.
Quinn goes through each of them for Craig. One of the pictures catches his eye.
Craig: Hey, this one is nice!
Charli: Yeah... not bad, skater boy.
The group have been unaware the whole time that they have been followed the whole time. Two skaters come up to them.
Skater 1: Too right; not bad, skater boy.
Skater 2: But you're not as good as us.
Zoe: OK... did any of us ask?
Skater 2: Shut up. Who are you to get involved?
Craig: Hey, don't tell her to shut up!
Skater 2: What you gonna do? Beat me up?
Skater 1: You don't wanna try that. These aren't your ends.
Craig: So what? You don't own this skate park.
Skater 2: Says who? Like my guy said - these aren't your ends.
Zoe: I beg you lot, please move. You're both so wet.
Skater 1: You need to tell your girl to pattern up, you know.
Skater 2: Truss. Bare chatting like she knows how to talk to man, innit. She don't even know how to do her hair!
Skater 1: Did you dip your hair in some little girl painting set or something?
Craig is starting to become more infuriated with what they are saying. Zoe stands up.
Craig: Nah, don't-
Zoe: Craig, let me handle this.
She stands in front of them.
Who do you both think you're talking to? Do you even know me well enough to comment on my hair?
Skater 1: We know enough about you to see that you're a girl who can't keep her mouth shut.
Skater 2: And yet, your man still chose to date you!
They both laugh. Zoe pushes Skater 2 and points in his face, walking towards him threateningly.
Zoe: OK. You've pushed it. Don't you dare try someone you don't know. I might be a girl, but I've beaten up boys before.
She then turns to Skater 1.
You both though you could bully us out of this skate park? I'm warning you. Do not cross me. I am not Jesus.
Skater 2: You're acting like you never found Jesus, fam.
Zoe: Well, lemme tell you now; y'all are gonna need Jesus if you dare to cross that boundary and make me lose my patience! Don't test me!
The skaters both look at each other.
Skater 2: We're not scared of you. I could have you on ropes myself if I wanted!
Zoe: Come, then!
She takes off her earrings.
You'll have me on ropes, yeah! Come! I'm ready for you!
Skater 1: Lol. Verbalist.
Skater 2: You're just making yourself look ridiculous. Plus, you're a girl, so I'll allow you.
Christopher and Raeni arrive at the skate park. They stand behind the skaters.
Skater 2: You're not scaring me. Neither is your boyfriend. Or any of them man over there.
He points at Quinn.
Who's that meant to be? A boy? A girl? What?
Skater 1: Nah, bruv - it's one of them weird... transsexuals or crossdressers or something.
Skater 2: That's bare weird, man. Lol.
Charli comforts Quinn. The words are getting to Quinn, but Quinn does not show this.
Zoe: So... you really think none of us can scare you?
She points behind them. They both see Christopher. Their eyes widen.
Skater 2: Yo... who's that, fam?
Christopher calls out to everyone else.
Christopher: You guys want some more sweets?
He holds out a packet of sweets. The skaters are petrified.
Skater 1: Yo, we'll do anything you want, man - just leave us alone.
Christopher: Your headphones are nice.
Skater 1: Have them!
He throws the headphones to the ground. As Christopher goes to pick them up, the skaters both run in opposite directions.
Christopher: What was their problem? Were they shy?
Craig: Nope. Nope. They just really hate strawberry laces, that's all.
Christopher: Oh. OK.
They all stare at each other.
Raeni: So... what have you guys been up to?
