The minute Chad put the van in park, we hopped out, leaving our stuff, heading for the beach. I was laughing, splashing water at Melissa, when suddenly Chad scooped her up, laughing manically as Melissa yelled in protest. The whole situation was just too funny. Not funny, hilarious even!

I laughed as Aston joined in on the fight, splashing both me and Charlie.

We kept on splashing until Melissa, finally being set down on her feet, hollered, "Enough!!"

We all stopped splashing, then turned to look at her, curious. Why on Earth did she want us to stop? We were having fun.

"I want to do something, just the girls and me. You boys can go somewhere and do something, then you can meet us up later. Is that cool?"

Aston turned toward Chad. "Dude, you're thinking what I'm thinking?"

They both had that dude look on their face, then they both shouted at the same time, "Music shop!"

They ran towards the car, getting in, then pomping the horn for us to hurry up.

I rolled my eyes, marching towards the van. Typical boys.

Melissa decided she wanted to go shopping, and later go get milkshakes.

I sat next to Charlie and we waited patiently as Melissa changed.

"Sophia?"

I turned my head to look at her, a question in my eye. "Yes?"

"I just want you to know, I don't like Aston that way."

I was completely shocked. Why was she telling me this? "Why are you telling me this? I wasn't accusing you of liki-"

She sighed, interrupting. "You weren't accusing with your mouth, but your eyes said different."

I raised my eyebrow, and she continued.

"When I first saw you, you were looking at Aston. The way that you looked at him, was like you didn't like the idea I liked him, even though I clearly didn't."

"What- what exactly do you mean?"

"What I mean is, you don't have to feel threatened by me. I don't like Aston like that. He's been a good friend to me, almost like a brother, and I can see you really care about him. Well, excuse my rambling, I'll just get to the point. You're really nice, Sophia, and I hope now we can be friends, but above all, I just want Aston to be happy, and I can tell you can make him happy. You're good for him, you know."

I didn't want to burst her bubble, but I had to do it. "I have a boyfriend, you know.."

Charlie laughed. "Really? Because the way you looked at Aston made me think otherwise."

I didn't have any words, none.

Charlie put her hand on my arm. "Look, I - you just need to think. Is this boyfriend really what you want? Or is Aston? Because when it comes down to it, I know you really know who you wa-"

The dressing stall door opened and Melissa walked out wearing a gorgeous black, strapless, knee-length dress, little swiggles on the bottom, and a white bow tied in the middle.

"So? What do you think?" Melissa asked.

"God. Lissa, it's gorgeous. You should totally get it!"

She shook her head, then looked up at Charlie and I. "Nope. I'm not getting it, unless you guys get it too!"

"Come on, Sophia, it can't be that bad! Just let us see it!"

"No," I protested, "I don't wanna!!"

I swore I saw an eyeroll through the crack and finally opened the stall door. Melissa and Charlie gasped with awe.

Charlie decided on the yellow spaghetti strap dress that ended around the end of her knee, white polka dots around the skirt and the top. I was wearing a white one shouldered dress that ended mid-thigh, yellow streaks dabbed the ends, making it look golden.

"Sophia, it's gorgeous!"

I groaned. "I feel like a lemon!!"

Charlie groaned. "You look gorgeous! We're getting it, end of discussion!"

Thirty minutes later, milkshakes in hand, we waited at the beach for the boys to return, all in our new dresses.

I sipped on vanilla, while Charlie on strawberry, and Melissa on chocolate, just as the boys came into view, both wearing some band T-shirt.

Aston suddenly was within touching distance and I grinned at his T-shirt. "Imagine Dragons? Seriously? I can't believe you got it!"

He rolled his eyes. "I thought I'd give it a try."

He gave me a once over twice. "You look good, Sofa. Like really good."

I blushed. "Thanks Ash. You don't look so bad yourself."

And as the night continued, I knew this was possibly nothing like my old spring breaks used to be, it was better. And I could get used to this.
