I huffed and puffed as I hauled my bag to the van that was within touching distance.

I finally threw my bag down and it landed with an oomph. Wait, bags don't oomph.

I ran forward, flinging my bag off of a figure, finally noticing a person was under it.

It revealed it to be Chad Weston, Melissa's boyfriend of three years. "Oh god!" I cried, helping him up. "Chad, I swear, I am so sorry!"

He stood up, brushing off his jeans. "Ah, it's no biggie, I'm used to it."

Chad was a good match for Melissa, in my opinion, with his black hair and grass green eyes. He was probably the sweetest boyfriend any girl could ask for.

As if on cue, Melissa came strolling out with two huge bags full of items to last her a lifetime, and within seconds, Chad was at her side, carrying the bags like they weighed nothing.

"Figures.." I muttered, secretly jealous that no one offered to help me. I finally picked up the bag, then gasped as it was ripped out of my hands by Aston.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

He rolled his eyes. "Isn't it obvious? I'm helping you!" He threw the bag in the trunk, then nodded to me. "You got everything?"

I motioned behind me. "I'll be right back. I'm going check."

I opened the door to Melissa's house, then rushed to her room, checking for left items. I finally found my phone sitting on her table and picked it up. I suddenly noticed I had two text messages.

The first one was from Mrs. Tilly, asking if we had an adult driving us to and from Alabama. We were going to Gulf Shores, and I was really excited. We never got to go on vacations at home.

I rolled my eyes and typed for the fifth time, I might add, that yes, we had a responsible adult, which was Chad. He turned eighteen last month, which was two years older than Melissa.

The second message was from Matthew, telling me he missed me and hoped that I had a safe trip.

I typed back quickly with lots of hearts.

I shoved my phone in my pocket, then walked down the stairs, and opened the door, walking outside.

"Hey, guys, I got everything. Are you ready to-" My words caught in my throat as my eyes widened at the sight in front of me. Aston was hugging a girl, one that I didn't know, and one that definitely wasn't his sister. She was telling him something and his eyes widened, and he hugged her even more tightly, as if that were even possible.

The girl let go of Aston and turned. She was beautiful, gorgeous. She had brown hair and gorgeous chocolate brown eyes. She was a little taller than me, and her outfit was a lot prettier than mine, with her too-tight shorts and crop top, and boots, while I was sporting a pink T-shirt, courtesy of Melissa, jean shorties, and converse. "Who's this?" I asked.

The girl stepped forward and shook my hand. "I'm Charlie, Chad's foster sister. I'll be joining you guys on the trip."

As I shook her hand back, there was one thing I knew. This girl was gonna be with Aston pretty much all of the trip, and I didn't like it one bit.
