You've been thinking for a few hours now. With spare moments like this, it's always good to think about your next step or simply rethink a few things. If you're being honest, things could be better.
As for yourself... Admittedly, you have gotten way off track and have been distracted with this whole student thing. At the same time, you might have gotten something going with those criminal people... Maybe they could help you. Though, you doubt it. Unless they actually offer something of use, you don't need them.
What else... Your team is inexperienced and fundamentally flawed, leaving them as an unacceptable option to choose from. They almost always panic, making them have a poor resolve and ultimately will kill them. Unless they fix it but you doubt they'll have the time to do so.
At this point, you suppose you're just waiting or trying to find something of use, which is why you're here in the first place.
Luma: "G-guys!"
Luma's exclamation woke up everyone.
Lata: "*Yawn*, what is it, Luma?"
Luma: "I-I see a flare in the distance."
Rog: "I'm guessing that means that the other team needs help..."
Grazama: "Well... Grab your stuff. Looks like we're going."
After a short, uneventful jog towards the flare, you were met with Oobleck, Yang, Blake, and Weiss. However Ruby was missing.
Y/N: "What's going on?"
Oobleck: "I'm a fool! How could I be so stupid!"
Luma: "U-Uhm, doctor, what's the matter?"
Weiss: "We found out that we're not just looking for an underground crime network, we're-"
Oobleck: "We're looking for an UNDERGROUND crime network!"
Jin: "So, these people have been working under us?"
Oobleck: "Eh, technically, yes. You see, Mountain Glenn was Vale's first serious attempt at expansion. It worked for a short period of time due to an aggressive perimeter defense and unique transportation via subway system. However without the natural barriers defending it, Mountain Glenn was doomed from the start! The citizens attempted to make a last attempt for survival by making shelter beneath the city and closed themselves off from the surface. But then... An explosion opened another hole, letting Grimm enter. After that the kingdom officially closed off the tunnels, creating the world's largest tomb."
Lata: "S-So where's Ruby?!"
Blake: "We think Ruby fell in that hole over there."
She pointed to a huge hole in the middle of the street.
Oobleck: "And if she is..."
Oobleck got his thermos to gain a long handle, with fire coming out of the other end of the thermos, effectively making his coffee cup a weapon.
Oobleck: "We must find her."
