V4:Chapter 4-A new challenger appears

As everyone walked, there was a pretty good distance where everyone was silent until, apparently, everyone decided to properly wake up.

Nora: "Another day, another adventure! Now with more friends!"

Ruby: "What's on the agenda today?"

Jaune: "Walking!"

Nora: "With a side of...?"

Ren: "Walking."

Ruby: "*Sigh*... Haven is a lot farther than I thought..."

Tsubaki: "Ruby... How long did you really think it was going to take...?"

Ruby: "I-I don't know! I grew up in a small area, I've never been this far away from home!"

Jaune: "Right, but... How long?"

Ruby: "Maybe, like... Two weeks...?"

Jaune: "What?!"

Ruby: "Ok fine, three, or something!"

There was a small moment of silence after Ruby's outburst.

Ruby: "Look, whatever... Hey, what's that?"

Nora jumped onto a piece of the fence and tried to get a better overview on the village.

Jaune: "That's... Strange... I didn't think we'd be hitting another village for a few days..."

Nora: "Are those buildings... Damaged?"

Jaune: "We should search for survivors!"

You all rushed to enter the broken village. As you did, you all searched the immediate area for people.

Ruby: "Anything?"

Nora: "Nothing over here!"

Jaune: "No one here either!"

Y/N(G): "Nothing noteworthy."

Ren: "It almost seems like the town was abandoned..."

Nora: "Hey, I think I found something!"

You all circled around the sign Nora was at. Nora pulled aside a branch that was blocking the name.

Nora: "Oniyuri... Never heard of it."

Jaune: "Me neither."

Ren: "I have."

Everyone turns to Ren for an explanation.

Ren: "You might think of it as Anima's Mountain Glenn, had it never been completed. Years ago, the richest members of Mistral were unhappy with how the Kingdom was being run.  Angry with the council, they pooled their resources together to build their own city, with their own laws. They hoped that one day, it could maybe even become its own Kingdom. Many thought it would be the future."

Ren walked away slowly.

Ren: "I know my parents did."

Tsubaki: "What happened?"

Ren: "What always happens."

Jin: "Grimm."

Ren: "Not just any, one."

Y/N(G): "Wait, one?"

A flock of birds passes your group overhead.

Jaune: "C'mon, let get out of here. This place gives me the creeps."

Everyone joins Jaune as he walks away.

As you all walked through the abandoned village, Ren leading the way, he suddenly stops and puts his hand out to signal us to stop too. After a few moments, he pulls his weapons out, with everyone following suit. You heard the sound of a jump, and a man in a trench coat jumped over you all got his claw blades immediately ready and charged, laughing maniacally.
As he charged, Ren intervened and clashed weapons. Ren attempts to kick but is immediately blocked and pushed back. He tries to shoot to get the pressure off him, but was forced to parry the man's attack anyway, which caused him to be knocked down. The man takes advantage and kicks Ren away. The man goes straight for Ruby, and as soon as he enters her weapon's range, she tries to slash at him but was immediately parried and kicked back. The man continues his assault by slashing and kicking at Ruby. After that Jaune attempts to interfere but all the man does is grab onto his shield and look at him funny. Regardless, you took this as a perfect opportunity to hit the man and ran forward and did an uppercut kick and launched him into a tall building. Unfortunately, he didn't go all the way through and caught himself by using his legs at the sides of the building.
