My Dads Best Friend

Chapter 15

Hayley's POV

Dad leaves today.

Meaning it will be Luke and I. Here. Alone.

What will happen? I don't know.

I'm thinking about all of this when suddenly my dad calls me downstairs to say goodbye. I get up from my bed and go down the stairs to find my dad, Hunter, Lindsay, and Luke.

Luke and Hunter are talking and my dad comes over and hugs me. I hug him back. I know he won't be that far. And I've been by myself before.

But for a long time it's been my dad and I . So it will be weird.

Hunter walks up and gives me a hug. "Love you Hayley." He says into my shoulder, "I love you too Hunter." I say while still in his embrace.

"Okay Hunter it's time to go." My dad says, hunter pulls away and gives me a kiss on the cheek and then looks over to Luke.

"You take care of my sister. And don't be a dumbass." He says to him, "Your dad already gave me the full speech. Don't worry." Luke responds before they give each other a bro hug.

After that dad kisses my head one last time and they head out the front door. Luke and I walk with them. We watch as they load into the truck and drive away.

I stay quiet even after the truck is out of sight. Luke is the first to talk.

"Your dad and I already did the days chores this morning. So all we have to worry about is night feed later on."

"Okay. Thank you." I tell him. "So what do you want to do? We have the whole day." He says.

"Can we just hang out?" I ask, "Yeah sure." He says before we turn around and head back into the house.

We decide to make popcorn and sit in the living room and talk.

Luke's POV

We are in the living room right now with a bowl of popcorn while talking to each other.

So far I've learnt that she graduated high school early but decided that college wasn't for her. So she stayed here with her dad to do what she loves which is training horses. More specifically OTTB's.

She does online classes, and does that pretty well. She and Lindsay are pretty close friends and is practically the reason why Hunter even met her.

"So tell me about you." She says, "What do you want to know?"

"Why is some big time business owner out here?" She asks which makes me chuckle.

"Well, I didn't exactly have the best reputation in the tabloids. So my manager and publicist wanted me to get out of the public eye. So here I am." I tell her.

"So you got sent out here because you were seen leaving hotels with to many girls?" She asks, "Yeah pretty much." I say knowing there is know what for me to doggie that.

"Doesn't surprise me." She says, I chuckle at her response. "You're going to regret that." I tell her before tacking her and start tickling her.

And that sound is music to my ears.

Hayley's POV

WOW. Never did I expect when I first met Luke that I would end up with him on top of me tickling me.

I haven't felt this way in a while. I just hope it passes because there is no way Luke would like me like that.

Right?
