My Dads Best Friend

Chapter 27

Hayley's POV

I'm in the living room with Luke right now. Sadly we can't ride today because it's pouring rain outside. We got our morning chores done and then we came back inside.

I'm laying in Luke's arms and we are watching tv. I've had something on my mind but I've been worried to talk about it with Luke. But I've been worried about what he will say. But I guess now is the best Time to talk about it.

"Luke?" I ask, "Yes baby?" He responds to me. "Are we going to ever tell my dad? I understand he's going to be mad at us both but he's my dad. Ever since we lost my mom I've told him everything."

"I know Hay, we are going to tell him but I don't know how. You have to understand he is one of my best longest friends. We've been through a lot together. And when he finds out I'm crazy about his daughter.. I don't know how he will react." He tells me.

"Yeah I understand. Listen I have some errands to run and we could definitely use some groceries. And the rain seems like it's going to let up soon, so when it does can you check the fences on the west side where the cattle is? I'm going to take the truck and get some groceries." I tell him, he nods his head and gives me a kiss, before I get up and put on my tennis shoes grab my keys and phone and leave the house.

~In town~

I've just got out of the grocery store and lucky for me the rain has stopped. For now at least. I'm loading groceries into the truck when all the sudden someone's hands are covering my eyes.

I turn around and find Andrew behind me. "Hey babygirl, how are you?" He asks, "I was doing fine until you showed up." I tell him, before turning around and continue putting the groceries in the truck.

"Oh come on now don't say that. I'm sure you've missed me. But not as much as I've missed you. That's for sure." He says putting his arms around my waste and resting his chin on my shoulder.

"Andrew if you can't tell him trying to do something right now. How did you even know I was here?" "I was driving by and saw your truck. No one else has a license plate that says 'COUNTRY'." He responded to me. "And I couldn't pass up the opportunity to see you." He says.

I finally get all of my groceries in the truck and start walking to put the cart away. Andrew waiting by the truck.

When I get back to the truck I don't see Andrew so I think he has left, so as I'm about to open the door he shows up and has me trapped with his arms on either side of me against the truck.

"Now let's try this again. My father is having a big party and I want you to go with me. I'll pick you up Friday at 5. Okay?" He says, "No!" I yell at him.

He moves his hands from the side of me to my wrists and holds them by my sides. "Oh come on baby, I know you miss me." He says to me, moving his mouth to my ear and kissing behind it and then down my neck. Tears are stinging in my eyes.

"Please Andrew. Please get off of me," I say wiggling to try and get out of his grip. "Only Because you asked so nicely. But I'll see you Friday at 5 my love." He says before forcefully planting a kiss on my lips.

He lets go and then walks away. I quickly get it the truck and lock it and let the tears come pouring out.

It's so weird there was a time where I was in love with Andrew. Where he was so sweet and caring, he protected me. And then it just seems like one day he changed overnight. I didn't know who he was anymore. I just don't know what happened.

A/N- hi y'all I'm so so so sorry for not being active and the long awaited update. I'm finally getting some more free time and I promise I'm going to try and start being more consistent with updating with all of my active books. I hope you enjoy this chapter!! I love you all so much.
