Hayleys POV
I finally get home, and I start bringing in the groceries, when I walk in Luke comes up and says "Hey let me help you." I just smile and walk back out to get more.
"Hayley are you okay?" Luke asks me, "Yeah, I'm fine. Just tired." I tell him, and thankfully he just leaves it.
After all of the groceries are brought in and put away I go upstairs and stay there for the rest of the day, that is until I need to go out and do night chores at the barn.
I get up and go downstairs and put on my tennis shoes and walk down to the barn, the dogs following me. But I see the light is on, did Luke forget to turn it off? I was sure he was in the house because the tv was on.
When I get in the barn though I see Luke giving the horses hay. Scout my lab barks and Luke looks up at me, "Hey I thought you weren't feeling well so I went ahead and started to feed. I haven't done grain and supplements yet though." He tells me and I just nod before going to the feed room and getting the mixes all ready.
Luke's POV
I can tell something is off with Hayley. But I don't know what, and I feel terrible, I just want her back and I don't know what to do.
I'm trying to give her space but I'm scared that she actually really needs me and I'm just not noticing it.
She comes back out of the feed room with the 4 buckets, she puts them in each of the right horses stall and then goes back to the feed room to do it again.
I don't know how she remembers all that. I still have to check the mix chart for the horses to make sure I do it right. It just amazes me.
Everything about Hayley does. I wish she would realize that. But we could never be together... and I hate that.
I'm too caught up in my own thoughts that when I look up I see Hayley is walking back to the house, I see every horse is munching away their grain and supplements already. She didn't even say bye.
Something is going on....
A/N: The long awaited update has finally came. I'm so sorry for keeping you guys waiting, and I'm sorry that it's a little short. The next chapter might be short too but I'm pushing to hopefully get at least 5 updates before Christmas! Just you wait!!! Please vote and comment
