 CHAPTER 10- ESCAPADE

I can’t sleep last night I think that was the worst nightmare in my life. After Jarke introduce me in the crowd nagpasya akong umuwi na coz I’m not feeling well parang wala ako sa sarili ko last night. I saw dad last night coming towards me, magsasalita pa sana siya but binara ko siya agad and I said.

“Are you happy now? Looking your daughter suffer, looking your daughter die a little by little? Well I guess you want me to disappear also like mo-“ hindi ako natapos sa pagsasalita when he suddenly slapped me. Buti na lang malayo kami sa crowd at ako at si Jarke lang ang nakakita.

“I’m sorry Hash but please do understand this is for your own good” he said sincerely but umiyak lang ako at tumakbo patungo sa car park. Jarke followed me and comforted me.

“I’m sorry” ‘yun lang ang sinabi ni Jarke at hinatid ako sa bahay, wala na akong force para makipag-away sa kanya so I drift my mind and allow myself to calm.

Nawala ang pagmumuni-muni ko ng may text akong natanggap. Pumunta agad ako sa fax machine and wait for the papers to come. Nang lumabas na ‘yung hinihintay ko I read and study all the investments ng company ni mommy. And I am so disappointed.

Sa Office…….

Jarke’s POV

“So ano na? Magcecelebrate tayo sa bar now?”- Greg

“For what?”

“For forcing Ms. Bully to be your fiancé”

“Loko ka talaga Greg at puwede ba stop calling her Ms. Bully, she’s not like that anymore”

“Haayyyy……..  pag si love ang umiksina walang hindi kaya ang hindi nakakaya”

“You will feel that soon Greg”

“And I don’t want that day to come I’m contented of what I am now”

“But committed to a woman you love is the best thing ever”

“Whatever Mr. in love”

Out of the blue bumukas ang pinto at niluwa doon ang dark aura ni Hash.

“Oopss I think I must go now see you later Jarke” pagpaalam ni Greg alam kasi niya na gulo na naman ‘to.

“What brought you here Hash?”

“Explain this to me!” nilatag niya ang mga documents sa harap ko.

“What do you mean by last night’s lie Jarke?!”

“I used it para umoO ka sa proposal ko”

“And do you think that’s the right way?”

“Just go home and relax Hash next week na ang wedding natin at saka ‘wag ka munang magtrabaho ngayon”

“Cut that crap Jarke! Alam mo namang engaged na ako sa iba bakit mo ‘to nagawa Jarke, bakit?!”

“He doesn’t deserve you Hash”

“Doesn’t deserve? Bakit ikaw deserving ka ba huh?!”

“His not answering your damn calls ‘yun ba ‘yung deserving Hash?!” napataas na ang boses ko.

“Bakit mo alam ‘yun? May kinalaman na naman kayo ni dad dito nuh? Tell me Jarke what did you do to Philip, what did you do to him?!”

“We just did what is right”

“What is right? Your being a jerk again! And I will find Philip no matter what happened because his my true fiancé not you! And don’t expect na may kasalang magaganap next week dahil hinding-hindi ako magpapakasal sa lalaking tulad mo! Manloloko!”
