LUKE'S POV
I hear a small knock at my door.
I assume it's the maid since I haven't left my room all day.
I opened the door to tell her I don't need my room cleaned.
Instead I see a crying Ryder with luggage all around her.
"What's wrong?" I asked pulling her into a hug.
"My parents kicked me out." She cried.
"What?! Why?!" I asked shocked pulling her and her luggage into my room.
"They said I'm too old to be pulling these 'stunts.' Like leaving the house when they start yelling at me. And that I'm not spending enough time with Ethan. And that I don't care at all about this family. That I shouldn't be affected because I'm never home anyway." She cried upsetting her more.
I held her in my arms and felt her shake.
"That is so messed up. Now Ryder, I'm not certified psychologist but I think the reason why you have just plain old anxiety is because of them." I explained.
"You think so?" She asked.
I nodded.
"You run away because you're scared of them." I said.
"I do..." She whispered.
"But hey, look on the brightside." I said.
"What?" She asked.
"You can just move in quicker with me." I said.
"And I can help pay rent." She said taking an over stuffed envelope out of her bra.
"Holy hell. What's in there?" I asked.
"All the money I need for 'three years at UCLA.' My dad gave it to me as I was walking out." She said.
"Babe, you're practically loaded." I said.
"I guess." She shrugged still upset.
"No more tears, okay? You're finally free." I said kissing her.
"I love you." She mumbled.
"I love you more." I whispered.
