RYDER'S POV
I leave LA today.
Not that I want to.
But I know I'll be back soon.
Luke rolled over and pulled me closer.
That's how I knew he was awake.
He tightened his grip.
"What are you doing?" I giggled.
"I'm not letting you go." He said.
"But I have to." I whined not wanting to blow my cover with my parents.
"I'm not letting you! You're mine forever!" He said.
I laughed as he started tickling me.
"How'd I get so lucky?" I asked.
"You showed up to my meet and greet." He said.
"Look at you making sense." I said.
"I guess your magic powers are rubbing off on me." He said.
I laughed as we finally got out of bed.
"Well here we are again." Luke said as he slammed my trunk shut.
"Yeah." I sighed not wanting to leave him or California.
We were about to kiss when Mikey came running out of the house.
"Ryder! Wait!" He called after me.
I watched as Luke rolled his eyes.
I tried hiding my laugh with an awkward cough.
"I had to tell you that on behalf of Griffin, I apologize. I know you'd rather hear it from her but she isn't going to. I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier but the guilt was just eating me up." He explained.
"Oh well uh it's okay I guess. I mean you didn't do anything wrong but it's fine." I said taken back a little.
He gave me a thumbs up and ran back inside.
"Where were we?" Luke asked as I laughed.
His lips connected with mine.
I still get butterflies from that.
"I'll see you soon. Okay, princess?" He asked.
I nodded my head as he opened my car door for me.
"Don't forget to text me." He said kissing my cheek.
