RYDER'S POV
I woke up to someone's alarm going off at three in the morning.

"Luke." I said groggily.

The alarm was still beeping.

I sighed and sat up.

To my surprise, it was my phone.

"Why?" I asked.

I went back to bed.

"Not so fast." Luke said turning on the lights.

"Do you hate me or something?" I asked pulling the covers over my head.

"No quite the opposite actually." He said yanking the sheets off me.

"Then why won't you let me sleep?" I whined.

"You're going to have to sit up for my answer." He said.

I groaned in defeat and did what he told me to.

I saw two suitcases packed by the door.

"I-I don't understand." I stammered.

"Do you remember when I first found out about your plane anxiety?" He asked.

I slowly nodded my head.

"And I told you I was going to help you conquer it." He said.

I realized what was happening.

He expected me to get on a plane to the Dominican Republic.

Right here.

Right now.

My world stopped.

I should've seen this coming.

I just didn't know it was happening so soon.

"Ryder? Say something please." He said.

"I didn't expect this so soon." Was all I managed to get out.

"You'll be okay. I promise you." He said.

I shook my head.

"Ryder please. I want to help." He said.

I know he does.

But sometimes I'm a lost cause.

"Don't you trust me?" He asked reaching for my hand.
