LUKE'S POV
I almost blew my cover on Facetime last night.
Ryder doesn't know it, but I'm flying down to Ohio today.
Yeah kind of last minute but Mikey is going back to New Jersey to visit family and I didn't want to be alone in LA.
So now I'm flying out to see her!
I got her friend Ashley to help her since it's a total surprise.
Ashley: Okay it took my years of convincing but Ryder and I are on our way to the airport
Ashley: Be ready to leave as soon as soon as you see us
Ashley: This chick is about to pass out.
Oh god.
I got to find them like right now.
After about five minutes of watching familes hug, I finally see Ryder and Ashley.
Ryder was hyperventilating and crying.
"Why'd you make me go? Why'd you make me go?" She asked over and over again.
I ran up to them.
I bring her close to me.
"Don't worry about anything. I'm here now." I said.
"Luke!" She screamed as she looked up at me.
"That's me, babe." I said wiping tears away.
"Can we please leave before Ryder passes out?!" Ashley asked.
"What about your cousin from Mexico?" Ryder asked.
"That was a lie. I was covering for this one." She said.
We walked out to Ashley's car.
"I can't believe you're here!" Ryder said.
"Well believe it, babe." I said kissing her cheek.
"Where am I dropping you children off?" Ashley asked.
"I don't know. Depends if my family is home." Ryder said.
"Why? Don't you want them to meet me?" I asked.
"Not yet. It's too soon and still summer and they're very judgmental." She said.
"What's the worse that could happen?" I asked.
"They'll tell me that you're not my boyfriend and just a summer fling." She said.
"Ouch yeah. Never mind." I said.
Ashley drove past Ryder's house.
"They're not home. They probably took Ethan shopping or something." She said.
"You lovebirds have fun! Remember, use protection!" Ashley yelled as Ryder and I got my bags out of her trunk.
She took me inside and we went up to her room.
I sat down on her bed as she sat down on my lap.
I turned her so she was facing me.
She had her legs wrapped around me.
I leaned in and kissed her.
God I missed this so much.
We pulled apart and rested our foreheads together.
"Best. Surprise. Ever." Ryder smiled.
