LUKE'S POV
When I was finally able to get Ryder in the car, I was just so mad at myself.

I knew something bad was going to happen tonight.

I knew Margarita and Griffin were going to be there.

I should've just said no to Mikey.

None of this would've happened if I had just said no.

I couldn't help but rant.

I put the one I love most in danger.

As I yelled, I felt her lips on mine.

They tasted of faded alcohol.

She must've drank the water bottle from our last pit stop.

"I love you. Now please take me home." She said with tired eyes.

She was finally realizing what was going on.

I nodded and stepped on the gas.

We got to the apartment.

I didn't know if she could walk steady so I just picked her up and carried her in.

I set her down on the couch.

"I'm sorry." I said.

"Sorry for what?" She asked.

"I put you in danger going to that party. I had the power to say no. I had the ability to stop you from drinking. I didn't do any of that." I sighed in defeat.

"It's not your fault. It's mine. I was an idiot and listened to Margarita and kept drinking. It was also kind of Mikey's fault because he begged us into going." She explained.

"So you're okay?" I asked.

She nodded her head.

"That party was lame anyway. We can have our own." She smiled.

I kissed the top of her head.

We put on music.

We slow danced in the kitchen to A Thousand Years by Christina Perri.

"You're so beautiful." I whispered.

"I'm so in love with you." She said.
