Your Point of View

I saw it was Asuka Who was singing as she sat in the edge of the rail. I decided it was best not to bother her so I saw the captain storing the ship on the wheel. I walked up to him and he spared me a glance.

"What?" He asked. "I don't wanna sleep yet." I said, leaning against the rail looking out at the sea and the starry night. "So what are you doing here?" He asked. "The sea at the night is just.... magical" I said feeling the soft, cold night breeze. "It sure is." The captain second.

The moment later was just silence, no sound but the singing of Asuka, the sound of the wind, and the waves clashing. The silence between the captain and I was slightly awkward yet calm until he broke the silence.

"Say, you understand the language of Honda right?" The captain asked. "Just the basics" I replied. "She's been singing that song every time It's night and she I place her on watch duty. The same melody just replays and echos. Mind if you tell what she's saying?" He asked. My eyes widened at his request. Liam and Dylan were right. Everyone seems more calm at night.

I nodded and listened closely.

"命は時の中を
Inochi wa toki no naka o"

I suddenly recognised the song, 'isn't this Tsumugi uta? The one Rin and Len sang?' I thought and listened more.

"薙ながれ凪ながれて
Nagare nagarete

永久とこしえの記録を
Tokoshie no kiroku o

二重の螺旋に紡ぎ逝く
Futae no rasen ni tsumugi yuku"

'Holy Kradness it is! The co captain is Kagamine Rin but in the 1700!' I thought.

(A/N: if you get the reference Ily.)

"私は此の唄を
Watashi wa kono uta o

詠うたい語りて
Utai katarite

刹那の記憶を
Setsuna no kioku o

人の心に刻み往く
Hito no kokoro ni kizami yuku

al a re la ye
al a re la yo
al a re la ya
al a re ya...

al a re la ye
al a re la yo
al a re la ya
al a re ya..."

"It's a song. Tsumugi uta, or Spinning Song in English" I told him.

"Spinning Song? What is it? The Asian Ring around the Rosey?" The captain asked.

"Not exactly..." I replied. "I still don't know the translation to the lyrics. I want to know myself too" I said.

"Alright... HONDA!" He yelled. "Hai Taichou?" She perked up.

["Hai taichou?" - Japanese: "Yes captain/commander?]

"Call Scot to take the wheel and watch him." He said and the girl walked away. 'Scot?' I wondered.
