Revealing the News

Clary's POV

It's been 6th months sense I last saw my mom and Luke. Me and Jace decided to tell them in person about their grand daughter, or grand kid but I just have a feeling it's a girl. Of course we could always go to the silent brothers to make sure if it. We are packed up and just waiting on Sebastian to finish so we can leave. Sebastian hasn't seen my mother sense he died. Which was like a year or so ago, and he was evil sense he was born. So we are going to tell my parents the whole baby thing AFTER Sebastian's news. Seems like the right choice. They are going to be receiving a lot of shocking news this coming week.

"SEBASTIAN! HURRY YOUR SHADOWHUNTER ASS UP!" Jace yells towards our house.

"IM COMING IM COMING!!" He yells in reply. Soon he is walking out the door, carrying two suitcases. We all walk to the garden at the side if the house and stand in front of a huge blank wall. I draw the rune for a portal and we all step in. We appear in Luke's lake house me and Simon used to go to every summer. My mom and Luke are waiting outside eagerly. When they notice that there are three of us, they look from Jace, to me, then to Sebastian. My moms eyes grow huge and instantly fill up with anger. She grabs the knife she keeps in her boot and throws it at Sebastian. It soars through the air and lands in his shoulder.

"Ahhhhh" Sebastian screams.

"Mom! Let us explain!!" I yell towards her. She looks at me and just slowly nods. I give Sebastian a quick Iratze and we all go inside. My mother is standing as far away as she can from Sebastian. Me and Sebastian quickly explain how the angels granted him life sense it was not his fault for the demon blood. She a weary look but walks towards Sebastian, he stands up as she approaches him. She looks up, sense he is taller, and hugs him. Tears flood his eyes and my mothers eyes as they embrace eachother. Both murmuring apologies.

Later that day we all sat down at dinner enjoying moms home cooker meals. Now is the time. I look over at Jace and nod, he had told me earlier that he wanted to be the one to tell Jocelyn and Luke.

"So, Sebastian wasn't the only reason we came down here. Clary and I have exciting news." Jace says "we are having a baby."

"I'm going to be a Grandmother?!" my mom exclaims

"Yes" I say, happy for her reaction. I notice Luke hasn't said anything and look to him "aren't you happy?"

"Incredibly, but I can only think one thing." he says

"What is that?" I ask

"You and Jace had sex, my little girl isn't a virgin." he replies

"Lucian! That was highly inappropriate to say at the dinner table." Jocelyn warns. "You are going to be a grandpa to a -" she turns towards us and says "a boy or a girl?" before I can reply Sebastian pipes up.

"Clary believes it's a girl. But we don't know for sure." He says

"Why don't we go to the silent city tomorrow and ask?" Luke suggests

"Sounds like a plan" Jace says.
