Clary finds out the hard way

Clary's POV

Jace has been sort of distant and snappy towards me. All because I trusted Sebastian. I can't believe how stupid I was. I just wish Jace could forgive me.. But I don't know of I could forgive him for killing our child either. I love him so so much and would do anything to make him forgive me. I would love to try again, but what if what Sebastian has done damages that? What if I can't have kids anymore?

"Jace?" I ask suddenly worried I called him just Jace.

"Yes love?" he says, he called me love. We are okay right? That means he still loves me

"Can I still have....kids?" I ask scared for the answer

"I think so, would you like me to ask?" he says kind heartedly

"Yes please." I say. And with that he leaves the room and Luke walks in.

"Hey" he says

"Hi" I say back. He looks torn up. Did I really hurt him too? Who else have I hurt?

"How are you feeling sweetie?" he asks walking towards me

"Better... I just hate that it's my fault." I spit out "I could still be with child if I hadn't gone and trusted Sebastian."

"Oh Clary, it's not your fault. Sebastian is someone who can get someone trust easily. Some people just see through it better. You and your mom trust easily, Jace knows it too, and trust me, he still loves you." Luke explains

"I love him too, more then anything. I failed him." I say not sure what I mean by it

"You didn't fail anyone. I mean it." he starts "it's hard losing a child."

"I want to call my mom, she had as good as a miscarriage when Valentine turned Sebastian evil." I say. But Luke looks horrible at the mention of it. I didn't ever realize that mentioning Valentine hurts him so bad. He has my mom now, he shouldn't get jealous or hurt.

"I'll go call her right now and see what she is up too. Okay?" He finally says

"Okay, hey Luke?" I say

"yes?" he says

"Thanks for being a great dad.." I say

"No problem." he says. Tears threatening to come out. Then he leaves, and once again I am left alone with my thoughts.

Maia's POV

Me and Bat walk down towards takis to meet with the head clan leader. She is new and likes to act as human as possible.

"Do you think she knows anything?" I ask Bat

"I don't know, she doesn't know the situation with Sebastian sense she is new." Bat starts "It's probably the perfect person Sebastian would go to, being able to cross someone who thinks he is charming and all."

"You think he is charming?" I say with a smirk and eyebrow lift. "anything you want to tell me, love?"

"Ha ha" he says while giving a light laugh. Gosh I love his laugh. "okay, so what does she look like again?"

"Brunette, blue eyes, small figure." I state

"Is that her?" he points to a girl who matches the description I have him.

"Looks like her, lets go." I say

Jace's POV

I am soo happy, the nurse says Clary can have kids still. We can still be a family. I am walking towards Clary's room when I see Luke on the phone. I walk up to him as soon as he gets off

"What's up?" I ask

"Trying to call Maia but she isn't answering. Then I called Jocy again to see if Sebastian would answer, but no." Luke says

"Want some good news?" I say trying to lighten the mood

"Sure"

"Clary can still have kids." I say with such a bright smile, no one can stay sad with my handsome smile.

"That's great!" he says, smiling. See? No one can resist. I smirk

"I am going to go tell Clary, want to come?" I ask Luke

"Yes, but let's try to keep the conversation going so she can't ask about Jocy again." He says, I agree.

We walk back into Clary's room.

"Hey" she says

"Hi sweetie. Still doing okay?" Luke asks

"Yes" she says

"Well great news." I say, waiting for the dramatic affect "we can still be parents."

"Baby that's amazing!" she says dancing in her bed. She's cute, and she's mine

"Do you think it's time to call Izzy and them?" I ask "you are feeling better right?"

"Yes, a nurse came in a few minutes ago and said I can go home of I really feel up for it." She says as she starts getting out of her bed "I'm up for it" she laughs

"Haha okay babe, your cloths are over there" I say pointing towards the table by the window

"Thanks love" she says while smiling. "Can I talk to my mom now? Where did she go? She was at the mundane hospital when I woke up?"

Me and Luke exchange glances and he just gives a sad nod. "Clary.. after your mom left when we were transporting you here. Sebastian went and got her. She's gone again, with Sebastian."

"What!?" she yells. "Why didn't you tell me sooner!"

"You were sick, we just lost a baby, you wouldn't have handled it well." I say

"He's right Clary, we did it to protect you." Luke butts in

"You said you'd call her. Is that when you found out?" she says with hope in her eyes

"No.. we found out earlier.." he says

"We? Jace you found out earlier too and didn't tell me?" she asks looking from Luke towards me

"Yes." I say at her

"Wow. Okay. Let's just get home so I can call Izzy and Simon and cry." She says

"Baby..-" I start

"Not now." She says and walks out to get changed

"That went...well?" Luke says

"Actually, it sort of did. Expected stuff to be thrown" I say

"Well, the days not over yet" he says

"Great..." I say
