Jace's POV

Clary, Sebastian, Jocelyn, Luke and I arrive at the silent city and wait for brother Enoch. 20 minutes pass by and then we see him. Gliding more then walking, making no sound at all.

"Are you sure you want to know?" Brother Enoch says

"Yes, we are sure." Clary says with a huge smile.

"Follow me." We follow him into the tomb and walk down stairs Clary and I know too well. This is our 3rd time walking down these stairs, this time we are lucky not one of us is hurt or has a block on their mind. We walk into a room with tables everywhere. Brother Enoch asks Clary to sit on one of them as he assembles the rest of the brothers.

"Are you excited to see the sex of the baby Clary?" Jocelyn squeals.

"I guess, I just have a HUGE feeling it's a girl but I wouldn't mind a boy either." Clarys adds

"I just hope it's healthy." Sebastian mutters

"Why wouldn't it be??" Clary and I both ask.

"I don't know, miscarriages happen to a lot of Shadowhunter women. With all the stress of being a Shadowhunter is all." He states turning towards Jocelyn. "Right mother?"

"Well-" she starts but was cut off my two more brothers walking in with brother Enoch. One of them I know very well, Brother Jeremiah. Well, I mean he is mortal now but we wanted him to be there.

"If you would all stay away from the girl as we perform the ritual" brother Jeremiah states "it won't take long"

We all step away from Clary as the room falls silent. I know Clary has her heart set on a girl, and I wouldn't mind having a girl anyways. But I've always wanted a boy first to protect our second child, which I would want as a girl. To make sure she stays out of trouble and no boys play with her heart. The brothers finish whatever they were doing and stand back.

"Would you all like to know or..?" Enoch says

"Yes" we all say in unison

"Well, Clary was wrong, it's a boy." He says

"I'm having a boy!? Jace isn't that wonderful! it's what you've always wanted." Clary says as she throws herself at me. I catch her, of course, and spin her around. I'm so unbelievably happy. A boy, we are having a boy.

"It's amazing love. I can't wait to bring him into our world and show him how to fight and protect." I say with a smirk. With that we all walk out and drive to Luke's to have a barbecue to celebrate.
