Magnus' POV

I've been looking for a spell for hours. I haven't found anything remotely helpful. Only a faerie ring could possibly do that, but Sebastian would be able to see that and it wouldn't work. I need to find a spell that can have Clary talk to either me or Luke through the mind, but how. I might need to call some fellow warlocks. I need some help. I decide to call an old friend , very old. His name is Fredrick Callahans, and he is the king of all things evil and illegal.

"Magnus?" - Fredrick

"Hello Fredrick dear, how nice it is to hear from you. What has been going on in Africa while I've been away?" - Magnus

"Magnus cut the crap and tell me what's going on."

"My my Frederick dear, why are you so crabby?"

"Magnus it is one in the morning here. What is going on?"

"Alright alright here let me tell you this, I need this spell where someone can talk into other peoples mind. Or one person. Do you think you could do it?"

"Magnus I gave up illegal spells years ago many centuries ago"

"I'll pay big time."

"How much are you willing to pay me?"

"How much will it take? This is important."

"Because we are very old friends i'll let you off the hook with $10,000."

"Very well. How soon can you get it done?"

"Give me a week."

And with that, we hang up and I head out to London to collect some money..

Clary's POV

Magnus hasn't called me yet, I'm getting stressed. It's been hours since I last heard from him. I don't think my mother has enough time, I have no clue what Sebastian is doing to her.. we need to get to her soon.. this plan me and Luke have better work and we better be able to do it soon. I decided to text Magnus to see what's going on..

Hey Magnus? Is everything okay? -Clary

Yes deary, it's quite alright. I should have the spell for you in about a week, it's the best I can do.. -Magnus

That's great! Thank you so much Magnus! I will never forget this. I owe you big time. :) -Clary

Okay, so I should be getting to see my mother in a week or so... That's good.. ugh, I hope Jace will forgive me for keeping this from him.

"Babe?" Jace asks

"Yes?" I reply back to him as I look to him

"Everything okay? You seem so distant. I thought we already connected again.. don't leave me again.. please."

"I just don't feel all that great with my mom missing is all... I miss Stephan as well.."

"I know, I do too. I miss them both so much Clary, but we have to move on from Stephan and try to come up with a plan to save Jocelyn."

"I know.. have you figured anything out yet?" hoping that we don't need to go through with my risky plan

"No, but I will find her Clary. I promise you."

"I know. I love you to the stars Jace.. Forever and ever."

"And I love you Clary." he says as he kisses my head. I truly do love him... Please don't let him leave me..
