The Plans take Action

Luke's POV

"Clary, is Magnus on his way yet?" -Luke

"Yes, I told you 5 minutes ago he was on his way." -Clary

"Then he should be here by now. I'm afraid your mother doesn't have much time. You don't know if Sebastian has been feeding her or anything."

"He will be here shortly and then we can see if the spell works, sound good to you?"

"Okay okay... I just miss her"

"Me too."

**a knock on the door**

"I'll go get it" I tell Clary. I wipe the sweat off my hands as I head to the door. "Hello Magnus."

"Hello Lucian." he replies back and walks in. "where's Clary?"

"Right here. Is the spell ready??" she says excitedly

"Yes it is, now let me explain how it works and all the affects"

"Okay, go." I say

"Yeah, explain fast though please. Jace should be home in an hour or so." Clary says

"Are we really not going to tell him about this?" Magnus asks me and Clary

"No." We both reply

"Okay." he sighs "shall we sit?" we all go into the living room of Clary's house to sit.

"Alright so tell us everything I need to know." Clary asks

"This spell can only work with someone you are very close with, you have to have some sort of bond or blood together for it too work, that is why I asked about Jace. You guys have a bond together and your mother and Sebastian are the only blood family alive."

"Why can't Izzy and I do it? We are parabatai, we have a bond too?" Clary asks

"She can do it, if you want. But again I believe that Ja-"

"No, I'll go call Iz to come over alone, one minute." Clary interrupts

"As you wish deary." Magnus says

Magnus' POV

I really do believe Jace is the best choice for the mind reading spell.. she didn't let me finish what the spell will do.

"Alright. She will be here in a few minutes, she has to drop off Simon somewhere." Clary says as she enters the room

"Alright well, as I was saying. Jace should do it because the affects of the spell is permanent. She or He will always be able to read your mind and so will you to them. I don't know if you want Isabelle to be able to read your mind forever." I say

"Wait, like forever?" she says "like.. no matter who I chose will get to read my mind when they want?"

"Yes, it's the only way it can be done."

"So basically the question here is should Isabelle or Jace be able to read my mind for the rest of my life? Whenever they want, wherever they go?" she asks shocked

"Well, yes and no. They have to be in the same room as you."

"Then how will it work if neither of them are coming with me?"

"I have another spell, temporary, where the spell can work long distance for a week at least."

"Oh, okay.."

"So, who do you chose to be able to have that power over you?" I ask Clary seriously
