Chpt 5: Not so happy birthday part 1

Anna's POV

Michael and I got many stares as we walked up the stairs. I waved to some co-workers and there mouths dropped. Michael smiled as we checked in. "I want to go to the club tonight, I mean after all I herd your birthday is today" he said. "Shut up" I said. "Oh my god! Ashley did you see Anna and Michael?!?! I bet he'll sleep with her for her birthday present" a girl yelled. I let go of Michael's hand. "Already did, it sucks now that you two are the only virgins in the office doesn't it?" I said flipping them off as I turned around. Michael had stackable bracelets on his arm. they covered his wrists. he hand marks on his two. plus he claims it makes him punk rock. we walked in and blaire rolled her eyes. I sat at my desk and Michael sat at his. "Tonight, we all go clubbing. in honor of An's birthday" Michael said to everyone. the boys nodded. Ashton was one of them. I wasn't going to let him ruin my day. "I was going to get you a happy birthday present but like I thought. you were occupied with little Mike over there" blaire said laughing as she licked her finger to separate two pieces of paper from the copier. "Yea, well it seems as if you and Luke hit it off as well" I said sipping my coffee. Her eyes widened and so did Luke's. "How'd yo-" "please it was totes obiv" I said. "Shut the hell up" blaire said. "Cat fight, Rawar" Calum said. he and Ashton laughed. "Fuck off" blaire and I said in unison. we laughed and them she spoke again. "About time you get out of the house" blaire said. "I go out enough" I said even though we both knew that was a lie. I never really was a party person. I'd rather stay at home and cuddle well watching Netflix. blaire rolled her eyes. "I'll take you home today, and we'll meet you guys at club Brew" she said. "Whose the safe driver" Luke asked. blaire rolled her eyes and walked towards him. "Your so stupid sometimes. we have a limo driver. when you work here, you get paid a lot. We save up and my uncle's boyfriend drives limos. practically free" blaire said. "Your uncles boyfriend?" Ashton asked. that was the first sentence he's said today well I was in the room. "Yea, he's gay. is there a problem with that?" she snapped. "Claws away blaire" I said stapling a packet. "Why do you care? you have your own toy. unless you want two" she said. i stood up and walked towards her. "At least I don't string people along" I said storming out and slamming the door. I walked and tears threatened to spill. "Anna wait! I didn't mean that" Blaire said. "Looks like there at it again. must be over a boy. Again!" Ashely said laughing. I walked over and punched her. "You broke my nose" she yelled. "Next time it's your teeth. you wonder why nobody likes you? well it's because you stick your god damn nose into everybody else's business. if you kept your mouth shut, your nose might not have been broken" I said. she shoved me back and I pushed her to the ground. "Stay out of my business and my god damn life. Get one of your own for a change" I said holding her to the ground. "But your life's a soap opera, it's the best" Ashely said. I started smacking her again. "YOU KILLED MY MOM" I screamed. "ANNA STOP IT" someone yelled. I yanked at Ashely's hair and she pulled mine. I didn't realize what was going on. I looked around. she was on the ground, a few teeth missing and her nose bruised. Blood covered my hands. I looked up and it was my dad laying on the floor. I beat him like my mom should've. I looked around. my mom stood there with her mouth covered. I lost my breath and my eyes shut. "Shit" I herd someone yell as I fell.

"Anna?" I herd a voice say. I lazily opened my eyes. I was in a bed. Ashton, Michael, Luke, Calum, and blaire surrounded me. "Where am I" i asked. "Do you remember what happened?" blaire asked. I shook my head. "You beat the shit out of-" "Michael! not the time" Blaire yelled. "I'm going to get in so much tro-" "She started shoving you. you had a reason. Ashely and her click have been taken care off. They've been removed and transferred to Florida" Luke said. I saw Ashton in the corner talking to Calum. The office nurse came in. "No head concision, minor bruising I'm sorry about the accident. It's sucks that it was on your birthday as well" she said. "Take the day off, you need rest. You'll be busy tonight. 21st birthday! Minor bruising to the skin. Ice then heat. rotate back and forth. Head home with Michael and Ashton, there in training for the nursing section. this is your guys first chance. plus you two seem to get along well" the nurse said. Michael helped me up. blaire left the room in a hurry. Luke chased after her. "What's goi-" "Ashton, why don't you give Michael a hand" The nurse said. said interrupting me. "I-I don-" "Sure" Ashton said. "I. Got. It." Michael said almost growling. He carried me to the elevator. it was in order. "Michael I don't know i-" "It's okay" he said. he opened the door and helped me in. it shut and we started going down. the elevator rattled and I clenched my teeth. my eyes flew shut. it's going to happen again. "Your okay" Michael said pulling me close. we walked out and people stared. he had an arm around my waist. Michael put me in his car and drove me home. There were 15 steps to get into the apartment. I blinked my eyes a couple times. everything became doubled. I turned around. "Whose here" I asked. "Ashton" he said. "No. No No No. He can't be here he isn't s-" I paused gasping for air. I bent down and Michael held my waist. I puked up lunch and breakfast. "Sh, it's okay" Michael said. I herd footsteps. it was Ashton. He came up the stairs with a bag. "I'm fine" I said. "Let me help you Anna, mike there's a hot cold patch in my car. there should be a bucket along with some other items. grab them. come on Anna, we have to get you inside" Ashton said. "Don't touch me" I said. "Annabella, I know I screwed up. but Let. Me. Help. You." Ashton said. his tone was much more different. He sounded sincere. "Fine" I said. he picked me up and carried me inside. I was laid on my couch. Michael brought everything in. "Jesus, prepared much" I asked. "Only for the worse" Ashton said. Ash poked me in the ear with something to find out if I was running a fever. "I feel fine" I said. Ashton pulled out needles. "Oh hell no" I said. he put gloves on. "Your blood will run through this tiny machine and it'll tell us what is going on" he said. "I want Michael to take my blood" I said. "I would believe me An. but I'm not aloud to. I don't have an advanced degree yet. but-" "Ashton does" I said interrupting him. Ash raised his brow. "Fine" I said. he took 2 small tubes. he went away and Michael brought orange juice and a cookie. "Thanks" I said smiling. "Everything seems to be clear" he said typing on his machine. "It might have been from wine, did you have wine recently" he asked. I nodded. "To much can cause you to have a weak stomach. it seems you had a lot. give it another 3 hours and your system will be cleaned out" Ashton said. "Thanks" I said. i herd a door shut. blaire came in. "Ashton, nurse needs you back at 47, something important non the less. How are you feeling Anna" she asked. ash nodded and left. Michael loaded Ashton's car up then came inside. "I'm heading back to. I'll see you tonight, if your still up for it?" Michael asked. "Mikey, I feel fine. I'm going to be fine. We'll meet you there" I said. he came over to me and I stood up slowly. he held my waist with one hand and cupped my cheek with the other. "I love you An" he said kissing me. my hands wrapped around his neck and his went to my cheeks. "I love you too, see you later" I said kissing him again. He leaned into my ear. "Tonight's going to be amazing" he said tugging at my ear lob a little. "Gag me with a fork" blaire said. I turned around and put my middle finger up. he kissed my cheek then jogged out the door. "You really like him don't you" she asked. "I do a lot. hey, listen blaire. about what happened this morning, I didn't mean any of i-" "I know. You talked in your sleep. it slipped I get it. I needed to hear that. I forgive you" she said. "I forgive you too" I said. she leaned over and hugged me. "I love you An" she said mimicking Michael. "Shut up" I said laughing. we turned on Netflix and watched gossip girl. Now I just wait. tonight was going to be amazing according to Michael. I smiled to myself as the theme song played.
