Chpt 18: You've been replaced sweetheart

Elena POV

Anna was becoming more of a sister over the time we spent together. everyone knew who I was when I walked through the double doors this morning. People whispered about me and I felt embarrassed a little. "You're practically famous already and it's your first day!" Anna said as the elevator doors closed. "People were talking about me" I said looking down. "That's because quote on quote 'newbies' don't make it in with the popular people. you have surpassed everyone. don't worry El. people talk because they have nothing better to do. You're a celeb kind of. just in an office. 50 floors and thousands of people already know who you are. that's great, a good way to get your name out. that's how producers and magazines find you. I'm helping you and you are my best friend. El don't worry, you'll be fine. stay away from Blaire, and Michael, and you'll be fine" Anna said as the doors opened. I walked out and people stared. Anna flipped her hair and I copied her. "Anna looking nice, whose your friend" some guy called out. "She's not going to sleep with you or you're tiny penis so you can go home and jack off again" Anna said as she walked by. Everyone made sounds as we headed down a hallway. her heels clicked against the floor and I had to practically run to keep up with her long strides. Luke was already there and was doing paper work with Calum. gosh was he cute. Anna walked in and pressed her lips to Luke. "Hey" she said pulling back. he wrapped his hands around her waist and rested them on her butt. I walked to my desk and Calum came over in two strides. his ripped skinny jeans were paired with a white and black baseball tee. He pulled off skinny jeans better then I could. I had on shorts with another red and black checkered flannel around it, my black vans, and a grey and black cropped baseball tee. He walked around and leaned against my desk. I took out files and he watched my every move. "Anna do-" I looked up and Anna was gone. I'd never been alone with Calum. He smirked at me, "I asked Luke to side track Anna so I could have alone time with you, Elena" he said looking at my desk. "Oh" I said trying to sound like I didn't care. but boy I did, and he could tell. "So tell me Elena," he paused and licked his lips. I turned around and picked up a box. I set it down and he watched me. Calum was blocking the draw I needed to get into. "Excuse me" I said leaning for the draw. he grabbed my wrist and ran his hands to my fingers. "This could be us" he said as he held on to my hand firmly. I pressed my lips together. Remember what Anna said. play hard to get. it makes them want more. "And whys that" I asked pulling my hand back. he stepped aside and I opened the box up. I took my name tag plate out and then picked up Blaire's. I put it in the trash. I couldn't believe all the awful things Blaire had done. told her secrets to everyone and published it on social media. "She still works here you know" Calum said. "Your point" I said walking by him. "Trying out the play hard to get act are we?" he asked. I couldn't see his expression but I figured he was smirking. "I'm not interested in games, Calum" I said as I put files into the cabinet. "Lets cut to the real shit then" Calum said as I turned around raising a brow. "Real shit? So this whole conversation was fake" I asked. He started to walk towards me. he was an inch away from me and I started backing up. "You know what I mean" he said. I kept backing up until I hit the wall. "Damn it" I cursed. "what was that for" he asked moving a strand of hair out of my face. he tucked it behind my left ear. "the wall hurt" I said. "Oh" he said as he leaned to my ear. "Anna told me you liked me, and I know you know I like you, so what's holding us back" he asked as his hot breath breathed on my skin. "Maybe I'm taken" I said. Calum didn't take that well. he pressed his body against mine. "Doubt it" he said as his lips met my neck. he kissed it and I went weak. I tried to stay strong but I was already melting under one kiss. I lightly pushed him back. big mistake. he pinned me against the wall again and cupped my cheeks in his ruff hands. he pressed his softish lips to mine. I couldn't help but kiss back. my fingers tangled into his soft black hair. One of his hands went to my waist and pulled me closer to him. He rested his nose against mine as both of us rapidly tried to slow our hearts down. "Let's get out of here" he said. play hard to get Elena, hard to get. "I have work" I said. "Later, give me your phone" he said. "Why" I asked. he reached to my butt and pulled my phone out. I went to get it back and he turned around. "Give me it" I demanded. He turned around and smirked "There" he said giving it to me. "You're annoying" I said. "Oh well" he said winking. Anna came back out with Luke. Anna's hair was messed up. Luke was wearing her beanie. "Nice beanie Luke" I said. he tore it off and Anna put it on. "Do you need help setting up?" Anna asked. "Calum helped" I said. Anna raised a brow, "really?" she asked. I nodded and so did Calum. "alright" she said sitting down. "What did you do with-" I pointed to the trash. Ashton walked in and his eyes widened. "Why you must be Elena, I've herd tons about you" Ashton said. I waved and he held his arms out. "I hug" Ashton said. I walked over and he gave me a tight hug. I pulled back and patted his shoulder. "Nice to meet you ash" I said turning around. he blushed a little as I sat down. I looked at Anna. she wrote something on paper and slid it towards me. I read the note.

'Nobody has called him ash unless they were sleeping with him'

My eyes widened and I felt blood rush to my cheeks. I opened up my desk top and began working. Anna helped here and there. across from me was Calum and next to him was Luke. Ashton sat on the other side of Anna. "What the fuck!" I herd a voice yell. all of our heads turned. it was Blaire.

Anna's POV

Everyone was cracking up and Elena looked at me. I started laughing too. all of blaires stuff was set in a box and her name tag was in the trash. Elena laughed and her laugh made me laugh harder. it was cute and funny. "Who the fuck do you think you are! you think you can come in here and throw all my stuff like its trash! that's my desk you're at you bitch. now move!" Blaire yelled. "Actually that's not your desk. Anna requested for someone else to sit near here. Elena is in the same field as her, and she is new so we put her next to Anna. will that be a problem? If so I can move you to a different cubical" Kelly said coming in. the laughter stopped and everyone was serious. Blaire grabbed her boxes and sat at a cub with Michael. "Thank you, now continue" Kelly said as she walked towards Elena. she leaned to her ear and then Elena stood up. "Finally" Blaire said. they left momentarily and Blaire got her box. "I win bitch" she said. "Blaire back in your cub" Kelly said. Elena came in with a MacBook Pro. Blaire's eyes widened and Elena smirked at her. "Take a photo, it'll last much longer" Elena said sitting down. Calum came over and helped her set it up. he was really good with electronic things. everyone had a MacBook Pro or MacBook except Michael and Blaire. Kelly headed towards the door. Blaire stopped her and we all looked. "You're just going to let that slutty bitch come in here and take over like she owns the place! do something" Blaire said. Elena went to stand and I held her forearm down. "You listen up Blaire Eliza Paisley. this is my office, and I can have you gone within seconds. She's one of the best employees I've ever hired. So you can sit your slutty ass down and actually do some work around here instead of sucking face with him" she paused nodding towards Michael. "do some work around here and then I'll let you complain, but for now sit your ass down, do something besides bitch to everyone, and maybe you'll realize it tonight. Daddy won't get you out of this one. except the fact that You've been replaced, sweetheart" Kelly said turning on her heels. nobody had ever seen Kelly that serious or angry at someone since Billy. Elena smirked to herself and began typing. finally someone set Blaire straight. my phone buzzed and it was Blaire's parents. "Hello" I said. "Hey Anna Bo banana it's momma Julie. are you still coming to the BBQ this coming weekend" Julie asked. i got up and walked to the bathroom. "Blaire and I aren't on speaking terms really, and something happened a few days ago" I said. "I know, Luke called and told us, he's a sweet boy. Are you okay?" she asked. "I'm fine, just still a bit freakish in big groups" I said. "Alrighty, well we miss you! maybe you and Luke could come out to dinner with us! and your friend Alena and her boyfriend if she has one" Julie said. "It's actually Elena, but I call her el, and we'd love to" I said. "Alright, I'll let you get back to your job, see ya soon honey" she said. "bye Julie" I said hanging up. I sighed and walked back out. Blaire and Michael had left, shocker. I sat next to Elena and she asked if I was ok. "Tell you later" I mouthed to her. she nodded and I started working on an order that needs to get out.
