Chpt 56: Funeral

Anna's POV

Michael clasped the heart shaped necklace that El had given me a long time ago around my neck. I slid on my heels. My hair was pinned up and I turned around. Michael was fussing with his tie. I walked over and fixed it for him. Jessie came in and had his tie hanging down. "Annie can you put my tie on?" Jessie asked. I nodded and lifted him onto the bed. he stood up and I tied his tie. He gave me a hug and I held in tears. "Daddy and Lukey cant get their ties either" Jessie said. "Ok, I'll be right back, stay with Mikey" I said. Jessie sat on the bed and Michael sat down next to him as I turned around. "Am I seeing mommy today?" Jessie asked Michael as I walked slowly out of the room. I walked out and shut the door behind me. I pressed my lips together and blinked away the tears. I walked into Jessie's room and Ashton and Luke stood there. they were both facing the window. "Do you think she suffered?" Ashton asked. "I don't know" Luke said. "How am I suppose to raise that child without him having a mother" Ashton said as he ran a hand through his hair. I knocked on the door and they both turned around. "Anna ple-" I shook my head and walked towards them. I hugged Luke first and then looked at Ashton. his eyes were blood shot. he hadn't been getting any sleep the past 3 nights. I walked towards him and hugged him. he bursted out crying in a big sob. Ash pulled the small of my back closer to him. he cried and cried. I held his head to my shoulder with my hand. I rubbed his hair and he cried. "She's gone" he sobbed. I looked at Luke and he nodded leaving the room. I herd the door click and then pulled back. I took Ashton's hand and sat with him on the bed. "As-" "Anna I'm so lost right now" he said standing up. he tugged at his hair as he paced. "Say something ash, anything" I said standing. "What am I suppose to do, Anna? I'm lost and I have no where to go and I have Jessie and I'm trying to be the best I can be but I can't do any of this on my own and I-" "Sh" I said as I hugged him again. "Your not alone Ashton, we're all here to help you and I don't know what your suppose to do. this is my first time with a child and you are always welcome here, you know that Ashton, right?" I said pulling back. ashton walked towards the mirror and then looked at me. his eyes looked me up and down, as if he were trying to scream inside but couldn't. "Ashton we'll get through this, day by day and step by s-" he walked towards me and his hands cupped my cheeks. he pressed his lips to mine and kissed me passionately. this wasn't right, it felt so wrong, but yet something about it felt right. I pulled back and looked down. "Ashton I-" "I'm sorry, let's go" he said. I nodded and walked out. the car came and Ashton carried Jessie out. I held the roses and we sat in the car. when we pulled up to the funeral home we all got out. Jessie was handed to me and I held him. the coffin was open and a tarp was up. I set Jessie down and he held my hand. everyone was their, including Calum and Blaire. Everyone sat down as the 3 of us walked towards the coffin. I had Jessie's small hand in mine and the roses by my side. they were white roses. I approached the coffin and then laid the on the part that was closed. I lifted up Jessie to the coffin and he looked at El. whoever dressed her up and did her hair did a spot on job. "Mommy" he said as his hand reached out to touch her cheek. he touched her cheek and I turned my head away. "I love you, even if your far away from me, I love you so much mommy. I hope I can see you someday" he whispered to her. I held him as he looked at her. he grabbed a rose and pulled off the steam. "Jes-" I shook my head pausing Luke from saying anything. Jessie put the rose in Elena's hair and smiled. "Your a princess now mommy" he said. tears rolled down my cheeks as I set Jessie down. Michael said his words and then took Jessie to get some punch. it was Luke, Ashton, and me. we all held hands and looked at Elena. "She shouldn't have ended here" I said. my heart felt like it had bursted to pieces. I never thought she'd ever do this. I stepped back and Luke looked at her. "This isn't how it was suppose to be El, we we're suppose to get married and raise Jessie together. but you had to leave me, but I want to thank you Elena. you've been by my side when I was at my lowest. and I love you, I still do" Luke said. Ashton took my hand and we walked up together. "Where do I begin Elena? we've done so much together. you were the bad bitch that I looked up to. even when I didn't speak to you, you were still there and you cared. I'm going to miss having you around" I said as I wiped away a tear. I stood back and Jessie came out and Ashton picked him up. "Mommy looks so pretty" Jessie said. "Yea, she does" Ashton said sighing. "Daddy needs to say goodbye, I'll be right here. go stand with Anna" he said. Jessie came back with me. Ashton looked at Elena. "How could you leave me?!?" He started. i motioned for Luke to take Jessie away. he took Jessie and Ashton ran a hand through his hair. "This wasn't suppose to happen. if I had only answered my phone, I could've saved our family. I could've saved us. why Elena? you can't leave me like this! why'd you leave me?!?" Ashton said as he began to yell. "I CANT DO THIS ALONE" He screamed out. I ran up to him and turned him around. he sobbed into my chest and I held him close. "Your not alone, we're all here" I said. Jessie came running out and Luke was after him. he hugged Ashton's leg and Ashton picked him up. "Mommy always said that you should be the last one to pull away, you never know how long somebody needs a hug" Jessie said. I saw Michael and I hugged him. I cried, for so many reasons. "Let's say bye to mommy" Ashton said. they laid the rest of the roses in with her and Jessie pulled out something from his pocket. it was the purple play truck that he called mommy. he put it in next to her. "She can play with it now" Jessie said as he kissed her forehead. Ashton walked back with him and they began to burry her coffin. I headed straight to the car. I saw Blaire running towards me and I climbed in with Michael and locked the door. Blaire looked through the window and I flipped her off as we drove away.
