Chpt 32: The day after

Anna's POV

"How was I so stupid. Luke you saw me take out my fucking tampon, you should've stopped me! oh my god what if I'm pregnant! I'll lose my job and my friends an-" "Anna there a pill called the day after pill, you take it and it prevents being pregnant. laxatives also get ride of the baby, plus they'll shrink you down even more" Luke said smirking. "And how the hell am I so post to get that? I can't just leave without telling Michael where I'm going and where do I eve-" "Relax, tell Michael your going to get me pain killers, I'll make myself puke so he'll stay with me. it's all going to be ok Anna, I promise" Luke said cupping my cheeks. "Ok, I'm going to go to the 7/11" I said grabbing my keys. Michael grabbed my arm and looked at me weirdly. "Anna, you've been crying haven't you?" Michael said. "Luke is- he's- so- we-" "You didn't" Michael said as he grasped my arm tighter. "Did you let him? YOU'RE ON YOUR GOD DAMN PERIOD ANNA! HOW COULD YOU BE SO STUPID" Michael yelled squeezing my arm tighter. "Michael you're h-" "YOU ASS" Michael said angrily Luke. "I told you, I would be the one to get her pregnant, just like-" "Don't you fucking sa-" "Heather." Luke said smirking. Michael held my arm extremely tight and I yanked back. "Michael" I said and he looked at me. he let my arm go and I backed up. "Anna I-" "When I come home, I want you out Luke. end of story, and Michael, we'll talk later" I said as I opened the door. I shut the door and turned my car on. I drove to 7/11 and grabbed 3 pill packages. I walked by the bottles of laxatives and licked my lips. I grabbed 2 bottles of them. I got a bottle of water lastly. I checked out and the lady frowned. "Such a shame to see beautiful young people like you deal with these things" she said handing me the packages and water. I sat in the car, tears welling in my eyes. I wiped them away quickly and opened the package. I took one and then looked at the others. I know it's not healthy to take 3, but I can't risk anything. I took the other 2. I held the bottle of skinny pills in my hand. was it really worth it? to go through all the pain to be thin? I haven't done these since I met Michael. I pulled my sleeve up and saw the black and blue bruise Michael left. it almost looked like the one my dad gave me. I opened the bottle and downed 3. I drove home and then put the bottle in my purse. I walked in and Michael was pacing. "Anna, I didn't mean-" "I'm sorry Michael" I said. "Its not your fault. we all had a thing for this girl, heather. Luke ripped her away from me and got her pregnant. she dumped Luke and had the kid. raised it with her family. I didn't mean to hurt you, all I ever wanted was to keep you away from that thing" he said. "I forgi-" I paused and ran to the bathroom puking. I slammed the door and through up everything. I drank some water and then took out the pills. 'They'll make you thin, and Michael will love your thin body, not this fat gross body' my brain kept going with insults. I took some more and then puked. 'Its worth it' my brain said. Michael walked in and saw the pills on the counter. "Anna?!? what the hell" Michael yelled at me grabbing the pills. he pushed me aside and dumped them into the toilet. "MICHAEL STOP" I yelled as he flushed the toilet. "These don't work Anna, they kill you" he said. "Maybe killings the only way out!" I said standing up. Michael looked at me and I looked down. he grabbed my purse and I held the bottle. "What the hell Anna? don't you understand?!? Your PERFECT the way you are, give me the bottle " he said. "You'll love me more if I'm thin" i said as a tear rolled down my cheek. "See what he does? Luke screws with your mind and gets in your head. He screws with you, he makes you think your not perfect. give me the fucking bottle" he said. "I need them" I said. "Give me the damn bottle" Michael said walking towards me. His hand made contact with my cheek and I felt it tingle. I realized he had slapped me across the face. I was on the floor crying. I herd a door close. "Anna? Michael? is Blaire and Calum" Blaire's voice rang. "You're better than this" Michael said grabbing the bottle and walking out. Blaire came in and her eyes widened. "Anna, you promised" she said as tears brimmed her eyes. "I'm not ok Blaire" I cried. "What's going on?" she asked as Calum came in. "Luke might have gotten me pregnant" I cried dropping the bottle. Blaire hugged me and I bursted out crying. She pulled back. "Did you take the-" "3" I said. "Don't worry, you won't be pregnant, I promise. what happened to your arm and cheek? Anna, yo-" "Michael" I barely choked. "MICHAEL FUCKING CLIFFORD" Blaire said storming past me. "WHAT THE HELL" she yelled shoving Michael. I grabbed her arm and tugged her back. "Blaire stop" I said. "What's going on?!?" Calum asked. "This" Blaire yelled grabbing my arm. I flinched in pain and she raised my sleeve up. The bruise was much bigger and had turned to a black color. Michael's eyes widened. "You did this over a fucking pill bottle" Blaire said. she turned my cheek and I pushed her away. "Anna come with me" Calum said. "Calum I'm-" I was swept off my feet and carried to the bedroom. he grabbed a first aid kit and an instant ice pack. "Michael's never been this way before, not since Luke did this to heather. she was a lot like you, you know? except she had blonde hair and green eyes. she was a complete bitch, stringed us all along for months, for Michael it was 2 years. when Luke got her pregnant Michael went off the wall. he hurt her, not intentionally, But he still hurt her. He didn't mean anything. He slapped Heather as well but she had the same reaction, not pills, but smoking. she went way downhill and so did Michael. she dragged him into the dirt with her. He got into a lot of trouble with the cops and stuff and it was just a really bad time for him but then we came here, he met you and you literally changed his whole perspective on life. he doesn't know what it's like to revive love through both ends. he just kept giving his whole life to her. he loves you Anna, don't forget that" cal said. My eyes watered and a tear rolled down my cheek. I couldn't believe everything Michael hadn't told me and what he had gone through. My heart just aches for him and I want to give him a big hug. I walked out of the room and walked over to Michael. "Anna I am so-" he paused as I hugged him. "I am so sorry about everything and anything you've ever gone through and I want to know that I love you unconditionally and I never ever plan on leaving you anytime soon. ok" I said pulling back. he smiled. "You've changed me" he said. "Touché" I said as I kissed him. his hands ran around my back mad rested there. He deepened the kiss and i moaned. "Hello? people are around, don't dry hump please. we still catching that movie? Elena and ash will already be there" Blaire said. I pulled back and kissed Michael's cheek. we all walked out and drove to the cinema.
