Chpt 45: Suprise!

Elena's POV

I bounced my knee as I waited outside the hospital room. Luke came down with two waters. "Are you ok?" he asked. "Jessie, there not telling me anything" I said running a hand through my hair. "Ashton needs to know you kept his child El" Luke said. "His child?! you mean my child. I carried him around and paid for the diapers and the good and for 9 months I carried him. Ashton wasn't even there when my god damn water broke Luke. he doesn't get shit from Jessie" I barked. "If you don't tell him, I will. Jessie needs to know at least what his father looks like. wouldn't you want to know?" he asked. "Go tell him over phone, that way his steam can go down" I said. Luke nodded and walked down the hall. the nurse came out and frowned. "Ms. Hubert?" a nurse asked. I stood up fast. "How is he? he ms ok right? he isn't g-" "From the tests we've gathered that Jessie has a birth defect. his speech is horrible. he has a small defect in his brain. did you or your partner drink or smoke?" she asked. "I didn't know I was pregnant and we went clubbing once. but I puked up my drinks" I said. "And the father?" She asked. "I removed myself from his place. he drinks and parties a lot" I said. "But you don't?" the girl asked. "Of corse not, I mean, I have a beer every now and then. nothing serious" I said. "We need to draw some blood, just to be sure" she said. I nodded and then she waved over a nurse. the girl drew my blood and then looked at it. "Clean, I can tell from looking at it. nothing unusual" the nurse said. "Ok" the other nurse said. I relaxed and then saw Luke. "Ash's on his way, he's pissed" Luke said. "He'll blow off steam" I said. "Whose Ma'am and Uke?" The main nurse asked. "Mom and Luke" I said. "He's request to see you" the nurse said. I walked in and he smiled. "Mammy what's going on? am I going to be ok" he asked. "Of corse baby, you just have a stomach bug" I lied. "Lucas! you came" Jessie said. "I came as soon as I found out little man, they treating you good here" Luke asked. I saw Ashton standing at the door. "Mommies gunna go potty ok? I'll be right back" I said kissing his head. Luke took my purse and pulled out toys. "I brought these for you to play with" Luke said. "Play with me, don't leave. the nurses always leave when I wanna play" Jessie said. "I'm not leaving buddy" he said. Ashton was crossing his arms. I took his wrist and led him down the hall. "WHAT THE-" "Lower your voice" I said. "Sorry, but seriously?!? I had to get a phone call from LUKE saying that I have a child which I've never even met? I thought you gave him up" ash said. "I was going to, but then I held him in my arms and his eyes opened and I couldn't" I said. "I want to meet him, does he know about me?" Ashton asked. "He thinks you're a bad person, which I know is weird but just be easy with him. he has a speech problem and a small brain problem because we didn't know I was expecting" I said. "What? th-" "We drank and got high, I've stopped all that stuff and I hope you have too" I said. "I want to meet him. I have a right to see him and for him to see me" Ashton said. "Follow me" I said. we walked down the hall and I held my hand out. "Jessie, daddy's here to see you. that's only if you want" I said. "My reeal daddy?" He asked. I nodded and Luke stood up. "Ill be outside little guy" Luke said smiling. he walked out and I looked at him. "I want to be alone with daddy" Jessie said. "Are you sure?" I asked. "I have questions and I want to do it with onto him" he said. "Ok, Jessie this is your dad Ashton" I said as he walked in. "Daddy? is that you" Jessie asked sitting up. "It's me" Ashton said. Ashton's eyes watered and he sat down. "Daddy. Leaking" Jessie said. I walked out and listened. "you look so much like your mom" Ashton said. "I have your eyes, that's what mommy says" Jessie said. "Want to play trucks with me? the nurses don't want to and Lukey left" he said. "Sure" ash said. "Dad, leaking" Jessie said. "I'm leaking happy tears. How about after you get out of here I take you for ice cream" he said. I was about to go in but Luke grabbed my arm. "It's fine El. he'll be ok" luke said. "Ice cream?!? mommy says that's for special times" Jessie said. I smiled to myself. "Today is a special time Jessie. you met me and I met you" Ashton said. "This trucks name is Jerry. he's a helper truck, he goes around and makes sure nobody is be'en bad" Jessie said. "Ok, whose this" Ashton asked. "This ones Lukey. he protects mommy from bad people" Jessie said. "Which ones mommy" ash asked. "This one" Jessie said. I knew exactly which truck he was talking about. it was a purple truck that had gold tires. "And this is you" Jessie said. I peaked my head in and saw a big red truck. "You fight off bad people" Jessie said. I smiled and looked at Luke. "Said he'd be fine" Luke said siting down. I sat next to him and herd giggling. "You and mommy are going to fix up rite" Jessie asked. "I don't know" Ashton said.
