She was different to any student he had ever come across. She was quiet, read books, didn't party, but behind the silence was a sadness that radiated from her. It was as if he couldn't help himself, he wanted to be what she needed. The only problem...
Faye Dawson "Thomas!" I yelled as I finished doing my makeup. I heard his heavy footsteps come up the stairs and I came out of my bathroom still only dressed in my underwear. "Thomas!" I yelled again and he burst through my bedroom door. "What?!" He yelled stood infront of me. I folded my arms across my chest and he raised an eyebrow. "Can you help me choose what to wear?" I sulked opening my wardrobe. He walked over and put his arms round my naked waist and his chin on the top of my head. "Dress or skirt?" He asked and I shrugged. "I'm thinking skirt" I said and he nodded pulling out a tight black skirt I wore for school. "I wear that for school" I laughed but he shrugged. "Whenever you've worn it at school I've always heard comments saying you look hot" he laughed and I groaned. "Is your boyfriend coming?" "No" I said simply and I shushed Thomas from asking anymore questions about it. I wish Shawn could come tonight but there was no way that he could. No way. "Top?" I asked and he walked over to where I kept my tshirts and he pulled out a red one with a low v neck. I slipped it over my head and looked at Thomas. "Wow. If you didn't have a boyfriend and I didn't live in America I'd be asking you to marry me" he said with a wide mouth and I hit his arm. He wrapped his arms around me giving me a cuddle. I hugged him tightly back and looked at him. "What are you wearing?" I asked and he shrugged. "I don't have much choice" he laughed looking in his bag. I looked in it with him and pulled out some blue jeans and a vest top. "Oh come on I want to look nice for your eighteenth" he said and took the vest off slipping on a black jumper.

"Better" he smiled and I nodded. After taking multiple pictures together we went downstairs at the sound of the doorbell.
By nine the house was full of people. Music was blaring from speakers. People were getting drunk and making out all over the place. Luckily I remembered to lock all bedrooms upstairs. I was dancing with Thomas stupidly in the middle of my living room where most people were. I hadn't laughed so much in my life. "You can't dance for shit!" I yelled as Thomas grabbed my hands and moved about attempting to dance. He brought me close to him and we hugged as people danced all around us. "I really did miss you" I told him as we danced. "I missed you too Dawson you know that" he said and we continued to dance for most of the night. But my thoughts did wander off to Shawn every now and then. I wondered what he was doing or was he thinking of me like I was thinking of him. I really did think I was close to loving Shawn. He just made me so happy all the time and even now I missed him being here with me.
I was glad that by one in the morning everyone had left. Me and Thomas tried to clean up most of the mess so we didn't have to do it in the morning. I looked to my kitchen table where various presents sat and I smiled to myself. It had been a good eighteenth. A good night. I'm just annoyed that Shawn couldn't have been there. "Do you want to open some things?" Thomas asked as we finished up cleaning "Honestly I'm way too tired" I said and we got changed into our pyjamas. We went back downstairs and flopped on the sofa. "Well tonight was fun"I laughed letting out a big yawn. The doorbell rang scaring me out of my skin almost. "I'll get it" I said and Thomas nodded heading tiredly up the stairs.
