Winter had began and the last few days of school were here. And with that, came the infamous U.A dance. No clue why a hero school needs a dance but okay. Whilst most people had adapted to the cold, most hadn't. Todoroki's left side came in handy. Keeping his left side warm. But the only downside was his right, which kept his entire right side cold.
Momo, on the other hand, hadn't adapted to the cold. So, she had made a plan. To keep close to Todoroki's right side, but there was a glaring issue with this. She became embarrassed, flustered and extremely red when she was around him. She had a huge crush on him, and only one other person knew and that was, her best friend and wingwoman, Jiro.
Todoroki seemed to have feelings for Momo, but unlike her. He seemed to keep it on the down low, no one could guess he liked her. Only one person knew, his close friend and wingman, Izuku
"Hey, Midoriya.." Todoroki began during lunch, the two were sat at a table with Uraraka next to Izuku and Iida next to Uraraka.
"What's up Todoroki?" Izuku asked, still eating his food.
"Should I ask Yoayorozu to the dance?" He asked.
"Well, if you'd like to! Oh that reminds me.." Izuku remembered something and quickly turned to his girlfriend.
"Ochaco.." He whispered "Can I ask you something later? Maybe after school?" Izuku continued whispering as he awaited Uraraka's answer.
"Of course" She whispered, nodding like anything.
Todoroki only laughed, until he noticed Momo on her own. He took a deep breath and stood up to walk over to the lonely girl.
"Hey, Yoayorozu." He greeted as he sat next to her.
"Hey, Todoroki" Momo whispered, trying to hide her face. The two sat in silence, eating their food until Todoroki spoke up.
"Are you busy after school by any chance?" He asked, breaking the silence.
"No... Why?"
"I was curious if you wanted to get a bite to eat. Midoriya and everyone else I know is busy today and you were the last person avalible. Besides, you and I dont get to hang out very often, you know. Just the two of us." Todoroki explained, finishing his food and turned his face so that he was focused on Momo.
"I'd love to!" Momo answered, quickly. Giving Todoroki a bright smile.
"Fuck. She's too cute." Was all Todoroki could think when he saw her smile.
The school day flew by, but that wasn't a problem for the 2 top students. Momo was excited for this 'date' and so was Todoroki, but of course he wasn't as expressive as Momo was.
Finally the bell echoed through the corridors signaling the end of the school day. Todoroki and Momo began putting everything in their bags. Momo grabbed her scarf and wrapped it around her neck and put her coat on. The icy-hot student also put on a thin coat. But then realise he forgot his scarf, he decided to not say anything as the two set out for the small reasturant.
"Hey.. Todoroki.." Momo started, her voice quiet.
"Yes, Yoayorozu?" Todoroki asked.
"Why did you ask me? I know that Midoriya and others were busy. But wouldn't you of been able to reschedule this?" The creation girl asked, her face burning up.
Todoroki stopped and placed a hand on her shoulder and spun here around so she was facing him. "I chose you because I want to spend with you." He simply said.
"T-T-Todoroki.." Momo stuttered as she felt Todoroki's hand on her shoulder.
"Oh, My apologies.." Todoroki whispered as he removed his hand from her shoulder and kept walking, Momo soon caught up. But it was complete silence until they arrived at the restaurant.
As they arrived the sat a table for two. After a weak attempt at conversation their food arrived. The two began to dig into their food, it was delicious. Once they had finished their food, Todoroki let himself and Momo to a small bench.
"Erm... Todoroki, why are you bringing me here?" Momo asked as she sat next to Todoroki on the bench.
"Yoayorozu.. I've been meaning to ask you something..." Todoroki began, looking down at the floor.
"Is this really happening?! No.. It can't be.." Momo thought as she heard Todoroki.
"What's the matter?" She asked, carefully shuffling closer.
"You know the.. Dance that's happening next week?"
"Of course.. Why are you asking?" The rich girls face began to burn up slightly as she moved sightly closer to Todoroki.
"I was curious if, you'd want to be my date to the dance." Todoroki said, quickly moving his face so he made eye contact with Momo.
"I-Id love to!" Momo responded, wrapping her arms around Todoroki and holding him close. A giant smile had appeared across Momo's face as she hugged him. And Todoroki, for the first time in a long time. Was smiling alongside her.
"That reminds me.." Momo began. "I would also like to ask something."
"Go for it.." Todoroki nodded, the smile still on his face.
"Would you like to be my.. Boyfriend?" She almost stopped herself before saying the last word, all her confidence seemed to have disappeared in that moment.
Todoroki simply cupped her cheek in his hand and began to lean in. Momos face quickly burnt up, Todoroki. The one guy she had ever had feelings for, about to kiss her. Todoroki pressed his lips against Momo's. His face also beginning to burn up.
He slowly removed his lips from Momos and looked into her eyes and smiled "Does that answer your question?" He asked, smirking a little. The whole thing seemed like a dream to Momo, a mear fantasy. But it was all very really, Shoto Todoroki, was her partner. The two sat on the bench, quietly chatting about U.A until Momo noticed something.
"Shoto.. Where is your scarf?" She asked, pointing at his neck "You usally have one.." She added.
"Oh, yeah.. Must of left it at home, dont worry about it!" Her new boyfriend answered, throwing her a quick smile.
But she did worry, until the perfect idea popped into her brain. She quietly loosened her scarf and carefully wrapped half of it around Todoroki's neck whilst the other half remained on her neck. Todoroki blushed slightly as he felt Momos arm press against his, due to the scarf being quite short. After around 2 hours they both separated and went home. Momo quickly ran home, she needed to tell Jiro about what happened.
"Holy shit! He asked you to the dance?!" Jiro asked as soon as Momo had gotten home and phoned her.
"He did! And there's something else." Momo giggled sightly as she recalled the events of the day.
"Spill the tea." Jiro almost ordered.
"Todoroki may be my boyfriend now.." Momo chuckled slightly.
"You go girl!" Jiro almost shouted down the phone.
"So, that's how I asked her." Todoroki finished telling his story to Izuku, who was baffled at how smooth Todoroki was.
"Jeez, I wish I was as smooth as you.." Izuku chuckled slightly. "Me asking Uraraka could of gone worse. The poor girl had to answer before I could finish... But at least I'm going with her.."
"At least you two are going. That makes this a little easier." Todoroki chuckled to himself.
"Same here for you and Yoayorozu.. Right I gotta be going Todoroki, see you later mate!" Izuku called before hanging up on Todoroki. It was quiet in Todoroki's room, The window was open sightly and the cold air came into the room and floated around as the U.A Student rested on his bed talking to his new girlfriend. Next week was going to be a great day for him.
