Recap: "You. . . You had-" I cut off feeling weak. "Shh Violet." Embry said walking out the door. "Come on Onyx to the car." Embry ordered. "You had fangs." I whispered as Embry rubbed my side. "Your ok Violet, I got you." Embry said before bringing me to the car.

I was hot all over. My body felt like it was on fire and it was in the middle of winter. The cold winter and my apartment was cold. If I felt like I was on fire there was something wrong.

And my body felt like it was on fire. As if something had ignited it making me whine as a wet cloth was pressed somewhere. "He tore up her leg good." I heard a female voice say. "How bad?" I heard him ask. My guardian angel. The one who saved me and kept me alive and brought me to safety. But my guardian angel had something off about him. I couldn't recall it. What was off with him again? I couldn't recall it but my guardian angel wasn't a normal guardian angel. No he threw things like they were sacks of potatoes.

He was my guardian no less and I knew I could trust him. Wherever he may be, or what he may be. "He tore open her leg. I've put in stitches once more. And Violet will just have to clean it and continue the antibiotics and I'm running a blood test for rabies. And your sure it wasn't her wolf who attacked her?" Onyx, my baby? Oh no he'd never attack me. He put his life on the line for me and I'd be in debt to him forever. He was a loyal wolf and was becoming my baby, my fur baby that I loved so much.

"I know what I saw Ms. Lake. It was a white wolf. I tossed it across the room and it didn't die. The thing recovered like it was nothing. And it only left once I flashed fangs. That thing wasn't no normal wolf. And Onyx tried defending her." I heard Embry spit out practically. "Is he doing ok?" Embry asked. "Yes Embry, he's resting. I had Victor stitch up his bite mark. He'll be fine and he isn't showing any signs of rabies or aggression which is good and he is up to date on his vaccines. I'd advise taking him to a vet."

"No, they'd put him down. He's a wolf mix. He'll be fine here, if it gets bad I'll have Serene on it. Trust me I won't let him get hurt. Even if I have to suck the infection out." Embry proclaimed. "Did she see your fangs?" The woman asked and Embry went quiet. "Yes. . . it was the only way to make the wolf leave. Please don't tell Victor, he'll suggest getting rid of her." Embry said and I breathed heavily. "I won't. . . but you have to deal with this," She started.

"As she will remember those fangs of yours. She must mean something to you for you to be defending her against your best friend." She said. "She's sweet. . . and she seems like she needs to be fixed and I want to be the one to fix her. To help her, I want to be the one she loves." Embry said. "Very well. . . Embry your secret is safe with me, but handle it well. I'll be monitoring the wolf and Embry don't try to feed from her." She said before walking out. "I won't." Embry whispered and suddenly my hair was moved.

"I'm sorry I didn't get to you in time. If I hadn't been so determined they'd past I'd of gotten to you sooner. I'm sorry Violet. I won't let them hurt you ever again Violet. I promise and they won't hurt Onyx either. You two won't be hurt under my watch as long as I can prevent it. Even if it means moving you in with me or moving in with you. Trust me Violet no harm will come to you." Embry said and all I could do was drift to the sound of his silk like voice.

When I woke up my leg felt numb. I was lying on a big bed of a silk and my fleece bottoms were discarded replaced by fleece shorts. My leg was all wrapped up in white wrap with bits of crimson peaking through making me turn my head away. "Hello?" I asked at the empty room feeling scared at being alone. The fresh encounter of the wolf made fear grab at me as I began looking for it. But it was not there. And nor was I in my apartment anymore. I was in a beautiful bedroom.

Suddenly the door opened. Embry walked in with a tray. He had a mug full of hot cocoa and some sort of soup as well. "Your awake." Embry said with a small smile on his face as he came over and sat down next to me. I watched him as he set the tray down before moving some hair from my face. His cool hand placed against my forehead. "Your fever has gone down." Embry said as he picked up the mug of hot chocolate. Embry pushed me up some and I looked at him.
