Recap: "He snapped her neck how is she not dead?" Embry asked. "We're hard to kill, but we need to get her somewhere to heal her and fast!" Raye shouted and Embry nodded. "I know a place." And then they were hauling Violet off.

My entire body ached. The worst was the aching in my neck, but I guess that's what happens when your neck is snapped and you live to tell the tale. They gave me pain meds for that and some ice to reduce the inflammation as well. It was nice.

"Violet, we really need to stop meeting like this so often, I'd think you were accident prone if it wasn't for what Embry told me." I looked up at Dr. Lake, Victor's mom as she came in. "I agree there, hopefully next time it'll just be me coming over because Embry wanted to come over." I said flexing my fingers as I laid in bed. Embry was passed out on the couch bags under his eyes. He hadn't gone back to his place since Dr. Lake started watching me after what I had gone through with Amos that fateful night of the party.

Four days had passed, but Dr. Lake wanted to be safe. The sore and stiff feeling in my neck had gone away especially after they put it back in the position it was supposed to be in. That I would admit would be the worse part of my recovery. Having my neck snapped by Amos was bad enough, but having it snapped back into place again was hell. I actually passed out for ten minutes after that and it possible I'd say it gave Embry a heart attack. But now my neck was back to the normal angle.

And now Dr. Lake, Victor's mom was monitoring me. She had doctor equipment here. The only reason she agreed to this was because I was a moon-shifter. She did this with the vampires as well to prevent the suspicion of vampires building up in Winterose so Dr. Lake agreed to treat me. But unless it was more supernatural again, she told me the doctors was where I was to go and I agreed to that. I was laying in bed as Dr. Lake took my vitals once more gave me my pain meds. "You should be able to leave today." Dr. Lake said with a smile.

"Good, I think the first place I'll be going is Embry's so he can get proper sleep." I said looking at him. He had finally fallen asleep having given into being up for 74 hours. His typical flawless complexation now had bags underneath his eyes. "He really does care for you, yell if you need me." Dr. Lake said and I nodded at that. I was getting up now. The bruises and bite marks I had on me were mostly healed and I would defiantly be going home today that was for sure.

And Embry could finally get the well needed sleep he needed. I'd stay the night with him maybe twice until I know he's sleeping good again. Seeing him like this made me sad. He took what happened to me hard. At that moment there was a knock at the door. "Come in." I said as Embry groaned and turned some pulling the blankets over him just as Raye opened the door and came in. Raye had been one of my visitors after that night. The girls visited as well, but Raye came the most. Mostly because he felt responsible for what happened despite it not being his fault.

It had been a slip up of mine not seeing Amos going for my neck. It was a miracle I had survived, but I had and that's all that mattered. Thankfully Raye was taking care of himself a lot better than Embry had been. Raye's hair had been trimmed and he didn't have bags. Dressed in old jeans and a bomber jacket with combat boots he watched me with those brown eyes. "Feeling any better?" Raye asked as he shut the door. "Yeah the pain meds work well, Dr. Lake said I could go home today." I said.

Raye smiled. "That's good, that wolf hybrid of yours has been going crazy without you. Will you be going to the girls house or his house?" Raye asked looking at Embry. "I'm gonna spend a few nights with Embry to make sure he starts taking care of himself again before heading back to the girls." I told Raye. "So I'll be sure to drop the wolf off at your place. I bought him some more food as well, about five bags of the Fresh Pet. He likes that." Raye said and I smiled at him. The raw food Onyx loved.
