I wiped the tear that was beginning to form in my eye as I carefully examine a picture of two best friends, smiling wide, as though all they needed was each other to be happy in the world.
I smiled to myself, at dahan-dahan ko itong pinunit.
"Nothing lasts forever, they say." I say to myself.
I waited for a few more minutes, sheesh! What's taking them so long?!
I hate waiting!
"We're here. Sorry, we had to deal with something."
I smiled.
"Whatever. I need you to do something for me."
I explained to them what I want them to do, making sure that they listen carefully.
After I talked, their leader smirked at me, as though he was challenging me.
"What makes you thing we'd do what you want? We don't work for you."
"Oh my dear, dear Renz." I say, may nilabas akong sobre sa bag ko, I carefully slid it across the table, in front of him.
"Madali akong kausap. Pera, para sa katawan niya. I want her gone."
Sinenyasan niya yung katabi niya na kunin yung envelope, for what? He really thinks I would cheat him?
Tumango yung kasama niya.
Renz smiled at me, "siguraduhin mo lang na malinis kang mag-trabaho." I warned.
"Huwag ka mag alala, ni minsan, hindi kami sumabit."
"Good. I'll be leaving first then, call me when she's dead."
Ngumiti ako ng nakakaloko. Finally! Does she really think that she can win over me? As if!
Madaming siyang naging atraso sa akin, at kung iniisip niya na tapos na pagpapahirap ko sa kanya, pwes, nagkakamali siya.
After all, Cassandra gets everything she wants.
And if killing her out of his life is the only way to do it, then so be it!
