After heading home and taking a shower Steve had taken Y/N into downtown Brooklyn, he covered her eyes with her hands as they walked down the street.

"Steve, where are we going?" Y/N asked.

Steve smiled, "Just wait," he replied.

"For what?" Y/N asked, but when Steve removed his hands she was shocked by what she saw. "How is this place still here?" she asked, turning around to see a very happy looking Steve.

He laughed, "I saw it the other day when I was on a run. It's still the same family that owns it, and I assure you that ice cream is still just as good," he said taking her hand and leading her inside.

Steve had managed to stumble upon the same ice cream shop that Y/N, Bucky, and himself had gone to several times before the war. When he found out it was still standing he knew he couldn't resist taking Y/N back there.

A couple hours later Steve and Y/N were walking home, happily fulfilled with ice cream.

Steve had his arm around her shoulder as she leaned her head against his. "This is nice," Y/N admitted.

"What is?" Steve asked.

"This, just being able to go on walks, eat ice cream...being able to relax is nice," she explained as they neared their apartment.

"I couldn't agree with you more," Steve said as he opened the door for her.

Not long after getting ice cream Y/N and Steve decided to move to Washington D.C. to work more closely with S.H.I.E.L.D. at the Triskelion. Their new apartment was bigger and missions worked better now that they were so close.

A few months later Y/N was in her and Steve's shared office in their apartment. She had agreed to help Nick with the investigation into her attack.

Y/N had managed to find various reports of a man with a metal arm, with possible ties to Hydra...The Winter Soldier.

She decided to call it a night and headed to bed, Steve following her after he finished watching the news.

The next morning Y/N woke up before Steve. She just laid there, watching him as non-creepily as possible. This particular morning, she woke up with her head on his chest, listening to his steady heartbeat. Y/N moved her head so that she could look up at him.

She saw one of the best sights ever, his lips were slightly parted, his face completely relaxed. Y/N even saw the slightest hint of a smile. Steve's hair was messy yet still perfect at the same time.

There were several occasions on which she purposely tried to mess it you so it actually looked messy, but it still looked amazing. Y/N watched as Steve slowly stirred, his eyes fluttered open, exposing his bright blue eyes that made her smile whenever she saw them.

Steve smiled, his eyes meeting hers in a gaze. "Morning," he said, his voice still deep.

"Morning," she replied. "I hope I didn't wake you," she said running her hand up and down his arm.

"No, I actually needed to wake up," he said looking at the time, then reverting his gaze back to Y/N. His fingers brushing a stray hair out of her face. "How long have you been up?" he asked.

"Not long, don't worry," she smiled.

The two stayed like that for a while, just enjoying each other's presence before Y/N spoke up, "Steve?" she asked softly.

"Hmm?" he hummed.

"Do we have to go for a run today?" she asked, noticing that the sun had still not yet risen.
