Steve slowly opened his eyes the following morning, he yawned as he looked down and still saw Y/N happily asleep against his chest, her steady breaths soothing him. He watched her quietly as his hand ran up and down her back slowly.
Y/N nuzzled herself further into Steve, though fully awake she chose not to open her eyes. "Goodmorning," she mumbled.
Pulling her closer, Steve kissed the top of her head, "Goodmorning."
Steve and Y/N were drifting off again in each other's arms when a faint knock on their door distracted them.
"Laura made breakfast if you guys want," Clint offered from the other side of the door, then walking down the hall to wake the others.
"I can't believe how accepting she is of having the Avengers crash into her home," Steve told Y/N.
"She seems happy though, with Clint, here," she replied, looking up to meet Steve's gaze, her chin resting against his chest.
He nodded, "We could have this, you know," Steve mentioned, catching a curious look from Y/N.
"How do you mean?" she asked.
"That house outside of Brooklyn that we're looking at, we could have that, and a family...stability. Maybe after this Ultron mess, the world won't need the Avengers anymore," Steve explained.
Y/N just wanted to be happy with Steve so desperately, "Yeah, I want that too, but part of me still thinks that the world will always need the Avengers," she replied.
Steve didn't disagree necessarily, but he didn't want to face the facts. "I agree, but I don't think that the world needs us to live with Tony," he joked.
Y/N let out a soft laugh, "Would you leave the Avengers, if we started a family?" Y/N asked, growing curious.
Steve shrugged, cupping the side of her face in his palm, his thumb brushing over her cheek. "I'd still go save the world on occasion if it needed me to, but preferably, I'd be at home with you every single day," he said kissing her.
Eventually, the pair headed downstairs the eat the breakfast that Laura had prepared for them. Later that day, Y/N was upstairs, folding her and Steve's suits before placing them in the corner by his shield. Steve had wandered off, wanting to clear his head.
Clint knocked on the half-open door, he saw Y/N putting her suit away. Y/N turned and smiled when she saw him, "Hey, Clint, what's up?" Y/N asked.
"Nothing," he replied. "Just wanted to check in, see how you were doing," he explained.
"I'm okay," Y/N shrugged. "Even better with a homemade breakfast from Laura."
Clint smiled, "Yeah, she loves having you guys here, finally meeting the team," he mentioned. "How's Steve doing, he seemed pretty shaken up yesterday."
"He's better than he was, but he's still a little off," she added. "Steve told me what he saw, what that Maximoff girl showed him...I can't even imagine what he went through."
"Having somebody mess with your head can be pretty crazy, you don't have any control," Clint told her. "I imagine what Loki did to me is pretty similar to what Wanda did to Steve."
Y/N nodded, "Thank you, Clint. For everything."
"Don't mention it," he replied, "Oh, and Steve is outside, by the way, in case you wanted to see him," Clint added before leaving.
Outside, Steve and Tony were chopping wood a little ways away from Barton's home. "Thor didn't say where he was going for answers?" Tony asked.
"Sometimes my teammates don't tell me things. I was kind of hoping Thor would be the exception," Steve replied.
