IMPORTANT! Really quick if you are started this book after July 19th then just skip this, but if not please read!
So I think when I was writing the first chapter, I think wattpad crashed and I lost like over 1000 words of the chapter, so when you went to the next one it made no sense, but I fixed it now so I truly recommend quickly re-reading the first chapter really quickly!

Millie and I didn't get back to her house until about 1 am, we spent the whole night shopping in small stores that were open 24 hours. We bought vintage t-shirts, old books, and records.
"You tired?" I asked Millie as we pulled back into her giant driveway, Millie's house we big, that's an understatement, their house is gigantic, I was kind of surprised that they didn't have another bedroom and I had to share with Millie but hey, I am not complaining. My mom is the founder of her own company, and we had a pretty huge house too, but theirs was just massive.
"No, I could stay up for hours," she sighed and climbed out of the car, "do you wanna hang outside on the back patio?" she asked. I had been living at their house for about a week, but I haven't seen their back patio yet.
"Of course," I said and climbed out of the other side of the car.
We walked around the side of her house and she unlocked the gate to her backyard.
"Holy shit," I said. The Browns backyard must have been an acre back. They had a stone patio that had a large table and chairs and tall poles that had fairy lights strung around them encircling the patio. Off of the patio, they had a giant oasis shaped pool, including a swim-up bar. They had soft yellow in-ground lighting that came on one at a time when Millie flipped on the switches. They had large hedges enclosing the patio and pool area.
"Yeah, my parents are really into gardening," she said with a laugh, "here let's go inside and grab some drinks and we can come back outside," she said walking up to the giant sliding glass doors.
"I'll grab the beers, you grab some snacks," I said smiling and heading towards the wet bar in their living room.
I grabbed 4 bottles of Budweiser, not wanting anyone to get too drunk like last time.
"Have everything?" I asked Millie who was rummaging through the large pantry.
"Yep!" she said holding bags of pretzels, chips, and popcorn.
We walked back through the sliding doors and back onto the beautifully lit patio and set our food on the long table.
"Cheers to a perfect night!" I said opening up a bottle of beer and handing it to Millie.
"Cheers to that!" she said and we hit our bottles together.
I can't believe that I spent all of these years pretending like I didn't notice the most beautiful girl in the world because I thought she was too prissy.

"Cheers to that!" I said to Finn as we hit the necks of our bottles together.
I don't know why I wasted so many years that I could have been with Finn... not with... just because I thought he was a player, I didn't even try and see if there was anything deeper.
"Want to dance?" he asked me grabbing my hand.
"Of course," I said and blushed, "let me connect my phone and we can play some music," I said and connected my phone to the Bluetooth speakers that we had all over the patio.
I went to the iconic Millies jam sesh playlist and pressed shuffle. The song Romance by Spendtime Palace came on and I turned to face Finn and he grabbed my hands.
I wrapped my arms around his strong shoulders and he softly put his hands on my hips.
"Had a heart so reckless she just had to test it on Romance," we both sang as Finn spun me around the patio, we slow danced to more songs until Say it ain't so my favorite song by Weezer came on.
"Say it ain't so, your drug is a heartbreaker" Rivers sang over the speakers.
I looked up to Finn and we made eye contact.
"Millie?" he asked softly, only 8 centimeters away from me.

"Yeah Finn?" she responded, leaning in closer.
"I really like you," I whispered only centimeters away from her lips, they looked so pink, so soft, so perfect.
"Say it ain't so," she said with a chuckle before we both leaned in.
We opened our lips and leaned deeper into each other. My lips slid like silk along hers, and I never wanted it to stop. I've kissed a lot of girls, but none of them had ever felt as meaningful and as tender as kissing Millie. We both pulled away to catch our breath before meeting each other's eyes smiling and leaning in again.
It felt like there was a fire within both of us, burning bigger and hotter, growing every second that we were together, until now. The fire had turned into butterflies and they fluttered to every inch of me, my fingertips, my legs, my stomach. No one had ever made me feel this way before.

Our lips moved in sync as Finn wrapped his hands around my waist and pulled me even closer. I felt as if every second I spent being annoyed at him washed away sending a river of tingles throughout my whole body.
We pulled away once more.
"Wow," he said and blushed.
"Yeah," I said, not knowing how to explain how... amazing that felt.
Africa by Weezer came over the speakers. I swear to god this band has the best song for every occasion (I know they only did a cover but it was fire)
"I really like this song," Finn said and blushed.
"As much as you like me?" I asked and smiled,
"Of course not," he said and laughed before leaning back in.
Yep, thanks right, Finn Wolfhard likes me.
