It's already 2 months since I told Sean about Alex, it's already 2months that I've been lied to myself about move on to Alex from Sean, but I remember what they said 'fake it 'till you make it' maybe, just maybe one day I would fall in love with Alex just like with Sean. But on the other side, I don't want to waste Alex's time with me, he could pick any girl he wanted and marry her if he want to.
Alex : "Heyya! How are you?"
Inez : "I'm good, just thinking about life"
Alex : "I do that thing too sometimes"
Inez : "I really want to talk to you in a person"
Alex : "Awh, me too. Too bad, this tour won't end until next month"
Inez : "I can wait, have fun with the rest of the tour. And tell Awsten Knight I love him"
Alex : "Ouch, it hurts"
Inez : "Haha, really just tell him and give me his number already!"
Alex : "No way"
Just like that, I text him while he's text me in the middle of the tour. I'm quite happy with that, but still can't happy enough to forget about Sean. Fuck my life. Besides, my time getting shorter, it's 4 more months until I completely move out. I already planed about my collage, I have options between being in faculty of law or medicine. I've had enough talk with my friend that already took those faculty and maybe I would pick faculty of medicine. Maybe, just maybe.
Alex : "Hey, you already thought about moveing out?"
Inez : "Yeah, it's 4 more months. Why?"
Alex : "I want to make sure to help you with that"
Inez : "No need, I can handle it. Besides, I have Sam"
Alex : "I thought you're gonna said you want Awsten to help you instead"
Inez : "That's even better idea! Bring him to me!"
Alex : "No fucking way"
Inez : "Yeah, you shouldn't fucking ways brother"
Alex : "What? No!"
Inez : "Haha, you fool. I need to talk to my mom. Talk to you later, Alex!"
Alex : "Yeah, you should do that instead of fucking ways brother. See ya!"
I laugh so hard when I talk with Alex. Really, he's that funny! I text my mom, to make sure she's awake. Since it would be 11 PM there and thank God she's awake. I open my laptop and log in to my skype, call my mom quickly.
"Well, hello" She said from the other side as soon as she pick up my call
"Hello mom" I said awkwardly, remember the earlier fight we had back then
"No need to feel sorry. I forgive you already" She said, like she can read my mind, I let a nervous laugh
"What do you want to talk about? If you want to talk about longer time there, you know I would say no"
"No no, it's not like that. I already make my decision about my collage. and I think I would be a medical student if you let me?"
"Is this really Inez Putri, my child? I don't remember you're this sweet. What happened?"
"Life happened"
Then I told her about Sean, about the heartbreak, about Alex, and about my current condition that make me tear up. I cry like a little child in fornt of my mom
"You know, it's fine and it's gonna be alright" She said, so calm, too calm. "You should be fall before you learn to fly." She continue
"Have you ever had a heartbreak before?" I asked
"So many times. I lost count, you know what's the worse heartbreak I ever had? Lost your father."
I keep silence and try to breath normally after the cry
"Well, now ask your heart. Who's you love truely?" She said again
"I don't know. I mean, I have a really huge age gap with both of them. Even Alex is 31! While I'm just like almost 20. Does it bother you even a bit?"
"No, you know what they said about age just a number? Yeah, that's true for me. Besides, me and your father have a huge age gap too. Like 10 years apart, I think" Well, yea she had the point. Yes, you guys 10 years apart. How could you forget about it, mom? "Why he's so faithful anyway? I mean, if he is really that perfect, he could be marry anyone he want. Or maybe he's already married? Have you ever thought of it? Maybe he's just got bored with his wife and want you? Oh Inez, my child. Don't be too naive, this life isn't as innocent as you"
I think about it again, she could be right. But there's no news about him being married with anyone?
"Yeah you right, maybe I should know him a little bit more before got too confused about our relationship. But what if he's innocent?" I asked
"I don't know. Ask youself. Think about someone you want to spend your life with, someone that could be your bestfriend and lover at the same time, someone can help you to solve your problem, protect you and still care even when he's mad at you."
I nodded my head, she always right.
"So, which one?" She asked
"I don't know, I just know Sean for 7 months? And Alex just about 2 months. I never really saw them get angry at me or anything you said."
She slapped her own face, not too hard of course
"You should've learn about love first before you jump into conclusion that you're in love"
"Yeah, I guess."
I talk and talk more things with my mom and I start to miss her so bad. I really want to go back and hug her like right now. But I can't.
"I'm tired, goodnight my love!" She said, wave her hand to the camera.
"Good night, have a good sleep" I said back to her.
I pick up my phone, to text Sean. No, I thought to myself. I text Alex instead.
Inez : "Hey Alex, you're 31, right?"
Alex : "Yeah, why? Did your mom told you that I'm too old for you? How old are you anyway?"
Inez : "No, and I will turn 20 this August"
Alex : "What?!"
Inez : "What? Change your mind about the whole things?"
Alex : "No, I just......nah nevermind"
Inez : "Do you have a wife?"
Alex : "Yes, her name is Jack"
Inez : "No, for real. I literally don't share what's mine, but Jack could be an exception in this case"
Alex : "I love your teen spirit."
Inez : "So?"
Alex : "No, I don't have a wife. Why would I wait and looking for you for a goddamn 2 years if I had a wife?"
Inez : "Just wondering"
Alex : "Why you even think about that?"
Inez : "Because you're so old"
