Tim's POV:
"She has pneumonia?!" Faith asks worried.
"That's what Davis said. She also has prolonged exhaustion which hasn't helped." I sigh rubbing my face. I wish we were with her.
"How bad is it?" Faith asks sitting down.
"Davis said she's in the hospital and probably will be for a few weeks. It's not the best." I sigh sitting down next to Faith. This is killing me.
"Ugh. We should be with her, not here." Faith says irritated.
"I know hon, but we can't be." I whisper rubbing her hand. Wesley and Hank come walking in.
"Maggie's in the hospital?" Hank asks worried. I sigh. I didn't want them hearing that.
"She has pneumonia and is really exhausted. She's getting treated." I say looking over at them.
"This is bullshit." Wesley yells.
"Wesley." I warn.
"No. She should be here and not somewhere by herself and having to deal with that." Wesley says irritated.
"Son I know. We're trying to get her home, but if it's not safe, she can't be here." I say looking at him in the eyes.
"Wes, we know it's hard, but we want her safe." Faith says softly.
"I miss her." Wesley whispers.
"We all do bud." I say.
Two weeks later:
The kids are on spring break and all are down in Florida with my mom so it's just Faith and I at the house. Maggie's still in the hospital. Apparently the pneumonia was pretty bad. It's just now 5am so I decided to slowly head downstairs. I can't sleep because I'm worried about my daughter. I make it to the kitchen and start making coffee when the door bell rings. Who's here at 5am. I make my way to the front door and see Davis outside. This can't be good.
"Davis, what's wrong?" I immediately ask as I open the door.
"Nothing, but wake up Faith. It's important." He says walking in.
"Ok." I say still concerned. I run upstairs to our room.
"Faith baby, Davis is here. He says it's important. Wake up." I softly say shaking her. Faith wakes up almost immediately and we hustle downstairs.
"What's going on?" I ask as soon as we get to the living room.
"Tom and I found I way to were you can talk to her. It's only for right now, but Tom said she isn't doing good and is down." Davis states.
"We can talk to her?!" Faith asks crying. We haven't heard her voice in almost a year and half.
"Yes. It's only for today, but we can do it right now." Davis says pulling out his phone. I wrap my arms around Faith and try to fight back tears.
"Ok. Let's do it." I say looking at Faith. Davis starts talking on the phone.
"I can't believe we're going to be able to hear her voice." Faith whispers.
"Me either." I say choking up.
"Ok. Here they are. I'm putting you on speaker." Davis says putting his phone down on the table.
"I'll be outside." He says patting my back.
"Thank you." I say turning towards the phone.
